I think you are confusing two different products here. Duraplank is Morton's name for their composite splashboard, not the name for their concrete footing.

The dura plank is one part or an option for the Morton Foundation System, which is similar to Permacolumn, though from diagram I question it's ability to withstand the bending moment Permacolumn can. Morton's web site could be clearer.

It appears based on this image from Morton's website that Duraplank is the name of their splashboard, not the concrete columns similar to Permacolumns.
