So Amazon recommended these wrenches to me and I thought they looked interesting. Added them to my cart and next thing they're sold out. Wait for them to come in and again sold out on a day. Finally got my order through and they arrived so I thought I'd put some info out there in case anyone is thinking about them.
First off they are long, all of the Duratech wrenches are an inch longer than their gearwrench 72 non flex equivalents.
The overall design I like as the fixed end is slightly angled so that your knuckles aren't rubbing when you use it. Broaching seems a bit flat on the fixed end and bolt engagement will be tested tomorrow. Ratcheting is fairly smooth except the 22mm is very stiff.
The beams and profile are hand ground, in China for those that want COO, so each on is a bit off in the corners and such but the actual broach is center line of the beam.
Foam case seems to be fairly nice if very stiff and kind of hard to get the wrenches out.
For $50 for common sizes I had fairly low expectations but these are suprisingly nice I'd say. Again tomorrow I'm going to put them to work and see what happens.
(Also how are we supposed to upload pictures?)
