Anyone use a Dust Deputy or similar product with their shop vac? Looks cool, but do they work as good as they claim? Filter bags are e pensive so if it can save me from having to replace e them as often, I'm all for it.
I have 1 of the 5 gallon ones ( top & fittings) you supply the bucket. Worked well to clean up wood lathe chips & made filters last longer. It does take up some space & is something else to empty. A few years ago I started using pool filter socks over the vac filter & just change them every time I dump the vacuum. At the price of shop vac filters, both methods save you money.Anyone use a Dust Deputy or similar product with their shop vac? Looks cool, but do they work as good as they claim? This ^ X 2I have the Home Depot version that locks onto a five gallon bucket and it's money well spent. I've heard that the Dust Deputy works better but can't verify that. Mine only gets used in the winter, on Saturdays, when I clean out the pellet stoves but I've gone from having to clean the filter weekly to about every six weeks. I was going to get the Dust Deputy, but decided against it because of the height, I didn't want to have to be constantly reaching over it.
