Eaton Mag Starter Model Number?

I just ordered a standard model Quincy QT-54, it comes without a magnetic starter but I plan to add one as soon as it arrives (also installing a Hobbs Meter and auto-drain). I am having some difficulty determining the model number of Eaton mag-starter to order.

The higher-end Quincys come with an Eaton starter installed, and I found a couple on eBay that look like they will work, but no model numbers are listed.

The QT-54 is 5HP, single phase, 230V.

This EATON seems to be precisely what I need. Anyone happen to know the Eaton model number? I spent some time trying to find it on the Eaton site with no luck.

He also carries a Square D that will work, but I'd prefer to go with the Eaton. The enclosure gives me more room for wiring in the meter, the drain control, and a start/stop override switch.

Here is the one I am considering:

The part number is right in the eBay auction: Eaton B27CGF30B040

I just bought and installed this one last week myself for my 5hp baldor motor on my quincy compressor. got mine from ebay from pacific compressors. Paid $150 plus $15 shipping. My local electric supply wanted $500 for it. It's technically a 3 phase starter but handles up to 30 full load amps well at single phase per the suppled spec sheet in the factory box. Wiring is easy. The single phase jumper from the middle leg comes supplied.
After running hots and ground from panel, and to motor, You run one leg from pressure switch to male blade on left hand side of coil, and one leg from other side of pressure switch to male blade on L1. Bada bing, you are done. Included wiring from 2nd side of 240v coil to heater (really breaker, heaters not used in this model ) already installed from factory as overload. Pretty easy. I can supply pics if required.

How are you wiring in a hobbs meter? I assume an hour meter? I'd like to get your idea on that please. Ty

I bought a 120V Hobbs (hour) meter. By installing it on just one of the 120V mains running to the motor, it will only run while the motor is running. Stole the idea from another thread.

I can post the model number and find the thread later, but its a very good way to track motor hours for oil changes/warranty. Plus I'm kinda curious how much I will use the compressor and if I ever decide to sell it, can show the buyer precisely how much use it has had (although I think I will be keeping this compressor a long time).

Normally, a 240vac connection only requires two hots and a ground, so remember that when you wire it up you'll need to include a neutral wire as well so you'll have 120vac for the hour meter.

Yes. I didn't describe it very clearly. Use only one (switched by the starter) hot motor leg and a neutral to get the required 120V.

Just curious, why would you buy the 120v meter as opposed to the 240v meter if the motor is 240v? Having to run the additional neutral just for a meter seems unorthodox.

I got it almost for free and it's a very good quality meter.
