Spn, how do you like the feel of the Craftsman Industrial Ratchets?

Search for Indestro 2775 comes up with nothing.

There was a tool liquidator in Oklahoma City who was selling new NOS 2775A Indestro ratchets. He sells cash and carry only - he will not ship.
We need to get ahold of popparoach and see if he would be willing to go pick up a few - he got me one a few months back for $20 shipped. IF he'd be willing to do that I'd take a couple more.

The 2775 ratchets show up every now and then in the Ebay listings, but not too often.

The Thorsen 77JC is a fairly nice unit. I have two or three of them somewhere. That little 30177 Action looks exactly like the Thorsen 77MC equivalent. I think you'll be surprised (even if the "Action" label was Thorsen's so-called "price" line.)

It's Thorsen "Allied" (subsequently "TAT" - Thorsen Allied Tool) that you want to avoid - Japan/Taiwan stuff. Not bad per se, but not Thorsen, and every piece I see listed on Ebay is way overpriced - TAT was a pretty low-end price line.

The 23795 is a beauty, I love it.
I actually like the 23803, but we'll see how long it holds up. There's been a lot of complaints about the quality of it. Most people say it's garbage. We'll see. It does feel a little weird using it, since the handle is so skinny.

My 1/2 ratchets are slacking too.
- Wilde (actually stamped "Wilde USA") (no model number) which feels very rugged, but has a low tooth count. I think I posted earlier 40? 44?
- Craftsman tri-wing (Taiwan). Don't have the model number right now, but it's the same as my 1/4 and 3/8. These are actually some of my favorites.
- HF (beater).

Ah, I was going to place a bid on that ratchet, then just remembered I ordered a new SK Bent Flex Head Ratchet earlier this week. Just another reminder to myself that patience is a virtue

Then, along came that SK Screwdriver set which Spn posted. I should have waited, then I could have had both, the screwdriver set and ratchet. What a difference, buying used tools makes. Budget wisely...

I have very limited clearance below the car, started to think 3/8" was the right way to go

That Craftsman Industrial ratchet is almost reminiscent of the NOS Kobalt and Allen Ratchets Cripe is selling. The NOS seems to be manufactured by Danaher. Not sure about the new Craftsman Industrial Ratchets though...

Got the Wilde slip joint pliers, and the Duro/Indestro 1/4 breaker bar from Midwest Chainsaw Supply.

Four.Cycle, it says "Forged in USA" on one side, but on the other, the Duro/Indestro is just a sticker. Does it say something under the sticker? Almost afraid to take it off. I googled Indestro 2850 and came up with nothing for pictures like this breaker bar. Also, the eBay post only had 1 picture, showing the USA side.

The #2850 Indestro Super had a knurled round handle (as shown in a photo posted up-thread.) The older #2850 had a really skinny handle - about pencil sized. The later #2850 had a handle that was a little fatter.
The #6050 Indestro Select had the flat rectangular-shaped handle, as yours does. (Note yours has a smooth finish with the line around the handle - no knurling.)

Best guess: that sticker was applied during the waning days of Duro Chrome / Indestro and they were re-labeling existing stock to fill orders. (A 1/4" breaker is a 1/4" breaker is a 1/4" breaker, right?)

I could be wrong, but I'd bet I'm not.

Best guess: that sticker was applied during the waning days of Duro Chrome / Indestro and they were re-labeling existing stock to fill orders. (A 1/4" breaker is a 1/4" breaker is a 1/4" breaker, right?)

I was thinking this exact same thing 4C. I really like this one. I have one or two Indestro breakers but none like this one exactly with the polished chrome. Neato. - Paul
