Walden 3/8” drive bullet handle ratchet, auction bidding starts at $6 + shipping. The Walden ratchets I’ve tried have been functionally pretty clunky but some of the styling is great and these bullet handle ratchets take the cake.

^ that was a killer deal. I have one of those ignition wrench sets - it would most likely easily go for north of $50 on ebay.

you got your package okay I hope?

Yes. Thank you. Promptly launched the SK retaining ring into a giant pile of ratchet parts. It worked fine after a little cleaning like you suspected. It will be a while before I find that ring though. It’s a good excuse to go through the pile and get it organized. I should thank you for that too! I now have two original and two Japanese clones of those GM ratchets. Why I find them fascinating is unknown:)

This is in the category of cool but very expensive things I don’t need. Rare Heyco Nautic stainless/corrosion resistant tool set. Missing a few pieces. $297.13 + shipping.

Mercari is a site similar to ebay but there’s no auctions, everything is “or best offer”. I’ve used it before without issues.

🙏 grab them I did. The seller made me the same offer. They look great for the money. And I wouldn’t mind finding more of these 12-pt flare nut wrenches…the swing angle for regular flare wrenches can be a problem.

Hard to find a better Lista deal than this - $250/cabinet.

I bought two pairs and picked them up on Friday. These are model SC 750 gen 2 Listas. The casters are pretty gummed up as described in the ad, but otherwise they are in good shape.

A word of warning to those who might receive eBay gift cards from friends or family. I received this card valued at $50.00 as a gift recently. When I peeled off the sticker covering the codes more than half of the numbers were not printed on the card. Long story somewhat shorter, after a long discussion with two different eBay customer “service” reps, if I couldn’t produce the receipt from when the card was sold I was out of luck. Essentially, eBay is keeping the $50.00 and isn’t willing to do anything for me. I’ve never had any problems with Amazon gift cards. I will be advising friends and family (and anyone reading this) to stay away from eBay gift cards. This incident will definitely affect my future eBay purchases. IMG_5693.jpeg

Don @d42jeep

I think the last digits on the bottom left may give you the code

020 363 matches the partial code

maybe 472 are the missing numbers?

worth a try

it is hard for anyone to find employees, I am sure the ebay reps are not the greatest

good luck finding a solution

Thanks for the help. They did tell me that 472 was the first three of the missing numbers but unfortunately there are five more numbers missing that they refused to give me due to their “policy”. I was plenty pissed off!

@d42jeep

Maybe the numbers are on there and we just don't know which ones.

A dedicated thread to ebay gift cards might find another GJ member with a card that can look at its numbers and identify the missing 5 in the other sequences of numbers on the card.

Shooting in the dark of course. I am very experienced in that!

Any chance you can look at the back of the sticker you pulled off and make out the numbers? Maybe shine a strong light through it?
Have you tried guessing the missing five digits by using sequences from the card, like '88584' and '04744'?
Final long-shot idea: if there is an email for customer support, email them the picture of the card and ask for supervisor review?

Why would ebay want to help? Free money for them.

The fact is that these are freely hanging in a store, and are not activated until paid for. So without a "proof of purchase", eBay has no way of knowing if it was activated or simply taken out and ripped open.

When giving gift cards, please make sure to include the small slip that prints out showing it was paid for, and how much it is valued at. I have received gift cards, and almost all of them include this as well.

Edit: In no way am I saying or trying to imply that d42jeep is acting in any way unethical. Just from the company's standpoint, they have no way of knowing.

Been there done all that. They knew that it was activated and when. They informed me of the value of the card. They seemed to care less about the years I’ve been a buyer and a seller and the fact that I have 100% feedback. They didn’t want a picture of the problem card unless I included a receipt. I hope they enjoy my $50.00. They will lose much more than that when I cut back on the ridiculous amount of money I’ve been spending on their site.

Didmt realize they could tell it had been activated. Most of my post above them doesn't stand (was based on them not being able to 100% ID the card). Sorry, that *****.

just a note:

A recent sale brought to my attention that not all of you know I am selling off my entire collection.
If you see something you're interested in, send me a P/M. GJ Members in good standing are eligible for special promotional discounts on selected items.
;)

* PayPal only, just in case that's an issue for you. ;)

* forecast says 95° F at Quinault today. I'm headed to the coast - going to see if I can find those 16 vestal virgins. ;)

Just want to say, I scrolled through all 158 listings and your collection is impressive, the conditions are great and the pictures are dialed in.

Beautiful.

^ On Don's advice, I switched everything from "auction" to "buy now", which resulted in sales increasing.
The "free shipping" is just a marketing hook - I have no scruples when it comes to selling. I have my shipping costs (and ebay's fees) padded into my prices, which is why they may appear a bit high at first glance.
