I like that star-wheel selector Indestro ratchet. Hard to tell from the pics if that's rust under the selector and on the drive side, or if that's just sludge...

Also that 1/2" new Britain is in excellent shape.

The 2775A Indestro 3/8" drive RHFT w/starwheel selector is a 52-tooth, as I recall. Probably one of the best ratchets ever made, in my humble opinion.

I think the "Action" 77JC (same/same as Thorsen 77JC) is a 36-tooth (???). Not as fine a mechanism as the Indestro. It might have some schumtz inside.
You have to fiddle with it to get that retaining ring off and then the guts will just fall out of it. Might just need a good cleaning and some oil.

Does the 2775 and 2775A have the same internals, just a different selector?

yes. same/same other than the selector knob on the back side of the drive head.
different production runs had different handles. difference in overall length can vary a half an inch. some are drilled (to hang on a pegboard hook), some are not drilled. every 2775 and 2775A that I have seen has a round knurled handle.

4C: It is ok if you don't know on some of the Indestro, but you DO know most of them and you have favorites. Esp the higher ratchet counts (finer ones). That would be fine. thx- Paul
