I'm thinking those other Krauter ratchets are missing the black handle.

Yes, see what you mean. That one may be missing the black rubber, but they also made similar versions with the "I" beam handle that didn't come with any rubber around them. They all had that "I" beam handle style. This also means SK used different forging tooling for the Kraeuter ratchets than the normal SK, which was silly and expensive in hindsight and didn't add anything over the standard SK rachet tooling. - Paul

Note that the box states "W Germany". I assume this means that these are new old stock, manufactured prior to 1990 when West Germany still existed. This would account for the slightly rougher engraving which likely used a more primitive engraving process at that time.

I saw that one. I think it IS bent.
There's another old Indestro female drive ratchet listed that looks bent too.
I've seen more than a few bent Thorsen breakers listed too.... either the sellers don't notice it or they don't care.

Ya I was questioning it myself because the ratchet looks almost in like new condition. I sent him a message to confirm.

Just to be the curmudgeon that I am, I decided to up the bid on this one to $80 as a starter! :evil: :willy_nil :eyecrazy:

Pretty nice set of screwdrivers. While there are better, I like the Craftman Pros no longer made a good bit and have some, as well as same SK and Armstrong versions. - Paul

I got my 6 pack of knipex jewelers pliers. They are absolutely perfect in every way. No rust, clean, perfect. Not sure what I am going to do with 6 pairs, but oh well, there are worse problems. They look great for any small work, in my case they will mostly be used for electronics soldering.

Now up to $20 in bids... I always think it's funny when that happens. How high will it go. On a related note, I just bought these same three sizes but made by snap on off ebay for $32 shipped. Already have them, but the price was right and now I will have them in two locations.

I'm not a seller, but I think you can set it so by it now goes away if someone bids. At least I have had other auctions where the buy it now disappears after I bid. Sometimes annoying, I wish I could tell if that was going to happen.

Why did the Buy It Now option disappear after the first bid?
