Not quite sure this is a hot deal but it's an interesting piece I recognized from the Progress Is Fine blog. Price is low enough to be tempting.

$9.95 + $5.50 shipping: Vintage Hallowell Socket Wrench Kit w/ 4 sockets

The blog post I was thinking of: http://progress-is-fine.blogspot.com/2012/09/vanished-tool-makes-hallowell.html

So Factory Authorized Outlet on Ebay has a 15% off coupon deal on a bunch of items:

You can apparently stack the 8% ebay bucks on top of it.

For example very nice (I have one and looking for one for my daughter and SIL):

DuroMax XP4850EH 4,850-Watt Dual Fuel Hybrid Generator w/ Electric Start

$469.00 less 15% coupon is $398.65. The webpage is saying $37.62 in ebay buck which is 8% of $469, not sure if if will adjust it after the coupon is applied. This would be about $360 plus tax with free shipping for a nice smaller but duel fuel, electric start generator.

The next size up 5250 watt is only about ten bucks more and they have a bunch of other generators on sale.

They also have a bunch of other generators and also Milwaukee tools, etc. subject to the coupon. So most of it will be 23% off. I have not yet perused it all, but I fear for my MasterCard!

Happy Hunting and Happy New Year to all!

What size propane tanks do you run on that? Are you using BBQ 20 pounders?

Yes I have been. I have a lot of them. Depending on the length of the outage might want a bigger RV size.

The propane does not run it as long as gas I don't think.

But not having to fiddle with gas, Stabil, carb, etc. is really nice.

Thanks. I ran a 9,000 Champion with 20 pounders a couple times, but it now fails to start. LONG story, tier 1 techs involved, etc., but I’ve always been curious if it was the tanks.

Urrea 3/4 drive ratchet and sockets/extensions lot- listed $119.95 + $15 shipping, but the seller just sent me an offer for $109

I can't justify the price for how often I'd use it but for the right person this seems like a good deal. There is some duplication in the sockets (21 sockets covering 12 sizes) but you're getting a whole lot of them for that cost. I believe Urrea was Mexican Proto at the time these were made

^ Actually it was "ProtoMex" - no idea when the "Proto" part pulled out. my best wild guess would be that Stanley divested themselves of it since they wouldn't be able to have complete total control over a business operation in Mexico. I've never heard anyone complain about product quality.
Lately there seems to be something of an over-abundance of 3/4" drive sets people are trying to unload on ebay, most of them asking near retail prices.

Urrea / Grupo Urrea, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico / www.urreaprofessionaltools.com / "Urrea" "Surtek" "Lock" / est. 1985 / (formerly "Protomex") /

He is honest and a great guy. I have tools coming from him today for a current project. We have done quite a few trades, S-K for Plomb.

^ I've already communicated with him this morning about a couple of the items he just posted. I've dealt with him before - no problems.
I think the last deal we did was on that Bridgeport "Radio-Lectric" 485 socket set.

That Barcalo set looks to be in pretty good shape.
I'd bid on that Ronson set myself but I recently discovered I have four of them already.
I think I just grabbed the last 2875A ratchet that had "Indestro" stamped on the selector wheel.

You guys looking for a nice 1/4" drive ratchet should grab one of those - they're not going to get any cheaper. ONLY thing I don't like about that one is the skinny handle, but then, I have monstrous hands. I have a hell of a time finding gloves to fit.

$40 + 10 shipping

Noticed a Blackhawk 1/2 drive bald head ratchet in this lot. Don't know much about the other ratchets but it's less for all five of them together than I have seen other bald heads listed for lately

There's a lot of noise made here about "flare nut wrenches". I'm sure that some brands might be better than others - of that there can be no question.
I don't live in "the rust belt", and I don't have to work on hydraulic equipment that's been left out in the rain. My old Indestro flare nut wrenches have been working quite well for me for about 50 years now.
YMMV

These are late-production (mid-1980s to 1990) - 3-piece set - SAE sizes.
$20 bucks OBO incl. shipping:

In this lot I spotted what I think is a Herbrand spinner/speed ratchet. I know these can go for a lot of money. Bidding ends in two days and it's currently $13.55 + s&h

Shopgoodwill can get bid up to some unreasonably high prices but I think with this being a vaguely described bunch of tools of varying quality, it could still end up as a really good deal.

Indestro 2775A 3/8" Ratchet, 7 1/2" Handle

I ordered the 1/4" (also forsale by same seller) and they sent me the 3/8" drive instead. Oddly, I did not notice it at the time.

It is a 52 tooth variation of the SK design per Alloy Artifacts and has really low back drag. Made is USA, NOS I am sure. It is a nice ratchet for general use at under $20 delivered.

^ I have one of those! They're pretty hard to find with decent boxes. Usually the boxes are cracked or the latch or hinges are broken.
Not sure if I have a complete Meteor 1/4" socket set, though. Those are becoming difficult to find intact.

I just bought one of these NOS "center finding" rulers. I'll be using the center finding feature for woodworking projects.
Photo etched gradations, made in USA. Probably made in the 90s? Very nice quality and a good price for a niche item.
$10 shipped.
