They have a bunch of tool catagories.

When I search I usually try to search for what I'm looking for, there is way to much garbage out there to try and scroll down the tool catagories!

I frequently use an asterisk (*) to account for misspellings or multiple spellings. For example, if I want to search for Chevrolet or Chevy, I can type in Chev* and everything starting with Chev will show up.

I was recently searching for a Snap-On S80, so I typed in Snap* S80 in case anyone spelled it Snapon without the space or hyphen. I hope that makes sense. It's a technique I use it a lot.

I search using misspellings too, ie rachet instead of ratchet, channel lock instead of channellock.

You can search all eBay by weeding out the unwanted finds. Just create custom searches and use a dash in front of what you do not want to see. For instance to do a general search for SO ratchets: snap-on ratchet -clank -nintendo -cap

When you come across stuff that is not in your interest, just add the unwanted terms to the search and save the search under an updated name. Make sure you get rid of the old search so it does not become confusing.

I thought someone had a thread on using a Boolean Search to find stuff there too.

I hate how filled eBay is with all the sponsors and sellers. I perfer to use http://www.findcheapauctions.com/ to weed out all the junk. It limits the auctions you see but if your looking for a deal, it will narrow the search. You can apply the same search tricks here as well.
