Currently I have a gas pressure washer, but I am looking for an electric model for indoor use and just generally don't need the noise/fumes of the gas model. http://www.mitm.com/pressure-washers/CA-2703-1MMH/42

Does anyone have any recommendations on an electric pressure washer? I was considering the one below, similar specs to my current model, which works well for me.

Thanks,
Montgomery
I see it is 230 volts, 16 amps. Do you have that where you plan to run it. The pressure/ cfm specs are kind of low. It is hard to replace a small gas engine with an electric motor. The equivalent is usually big, heavy and expensive.

there isn't going to be a big difference, except no noise. i have 1 that doesn't get alot use because it needs a 20amp plug. i don't do any inside cleaning but used on the driveway with a turbo nozzel and worked well, had to get used to the quite.

I don't have a suggestion which one to get but more of a cool way to use it. My brother wired his to a light switch and the wand hung on a hook on the deck. All he had to do to use it was flip a switch. He said you have no idea how offer you will use it when all you do is flip a switch. He even used it to wash the dog bowl lol

Electric is good, I have mine plumbed in and its a flip of the switch operation. I wash a lot of stuff, the dog bowl isn't a problem.
There have been some changes, the air reel is inside but its switched outside for both hot and cold.
I like electric and plumbed in for the shop, have a gas one in a truck too.

At a shop I used to work at, we had a Snap-on clean up pro. I've never seen another one, but it was hands down the best pressure washer I've used short of a Landa.

I don't remember the voltage on it exactly. but I believe it had a 120v 20 amp input. It also had a kerosene boiler and would steam clean awesome. Iirc, it had an in line soaper too.

We had it hooked up like Sberry, always ready. Just had to open the hose bibb and flip the pump on. It lived by the door, which was also by the hoist so we could wash an underside or something on the hoist or go out into the parking lot and wash something.

My dad used to run a car wash, and they had a 4 gun hot water Landa. That thing was bad ***, but Landa stuff is $$$

Electric pressure washers are the bomb. Gas engine ones have their place, but I feel a good electric is much more pleasant to use.

I have used Landa and they are a competitor to the Alkota I have. I have a Hotsy in a truck, same deal. A bud just bought a new Landa and I havnt seen it yet but it was 8 or 9 grand and he says its really great on burner fuel. Some new design I guess. Mine is from the early 80's, I bought it new. Not super pressure but 5 gpm and it really cleans grime well and is super for de icing due to the amount of water.
I fixed this old Hotsy up and have it in an insulated truck body, 500 gallons of water on board. Its about perfect for my use, not much, if I was going to work daily would have a size larger but this one gets really hot. I was going to fix the burner jacket up a bit but its so hot it doesn't matter, there is one piece of pipe short in the pic for the burner exhaust.

Absolutely. If I had the foresight to realize I wouldn't need my shop unit to be portable I would have went LP fires too. Its not worth trading or replacement as it still works so well. I see the dealers list used about what I paid for it.
A new one a size larger and lp is about 10K now. I sold/installed a guy a new one 20 yrs ago and it was 6 then. I talked to him a while back said it never missed a beat, never had a single problem or a repair to it. Used it every day.
I use mine most days and several on some. I have a lot of uses for it and there isn't any better way.
