I have used Landa and they are a competitor to the Alkota I have. I have a Hotsy in a truck, same deal. A bud just bought a new Landa and I havnt seen it yet but it was 8 or 9 grand and he says its really great on burner fuel. Some new design I guess. Mine is from the early 80's, I bought it new. Not super pressure but 5 gpm and it really cleans grime well and is super for de icing due to the amount of water.
I fixed this old Hotsy up and have it in an insulated truck body, 500 gallons of water on board. Its about perfect for my use, not much, if I was going to work daily would have a size larger but this one gets really hot. I was going to fix the burner jacket up a bit but its so hot it doesn't matter, there is one piece of pipe short in the pic for the burner exhaust.
Electric pressure washers are the bomb. Gas engine ones have their place, but I feel a good electric is much more pleasant to use.
Absolutely. If I had the foresight to realize I wouldn't need my shop unit to be portable I would have went LP fires too. Its not worth trading or replacement as it still works so well. I see the dealers list used about what I paid for it.
A new one a size larger and lp is about 10K now. I sold/installed a guy a new one 20 yrs ago and it was 6 then. I talked to him a while back said it never missed a beat, never had a single problem or a repair to it. Used it every day.
I use mine most days and several on some. I have a lot of uses for it and there isn't any better way.
