Ellis 6000 belt grinder

Been watching Craigslist for an Ellis 1600 or 1800 bandsaw for awhile now with no luck, but this Ellis 6000 belt grinder popped up recently for a good price so I jumped on it. Guy bought it 2 years ago and it’s been sitting in his garage ever since, never used once. Got it for $900 with a bunch of spare belts and other optional accessories. It’s not variable speed but I don’t know that that matters too much. Seems like a quality, heavy duty machine.

Here!
Nice belt grinder. I like that tray in the middle for setting workpieces on.

Used it today, and am impressed so far. Very simple, quick mechanism for changing belts, easy to center the belt on the pulleys by turning an adjustment knob up front. Worked great for what I was grinding and shaping. I can already tell it was money well spent.
