And an SAE version... And yes, those are the snap-on reversible (blue point)
In my previous post I showed an image of the older discontinued stubby wrench tool roll and it contains the ratcheting stubby wrenches from snap-on everything fits. What's kind of hard to see is that those have a lot of room in them and they kind of bunch out so that they can accommodate a wider thicker wrench.
I also have one of their modern tool rolls meant for their their newest stubby wrenches at Tekton, And this newer wrench roll will not accommodate the reversible ratcheting stubby wrenches. So on a whim, I grabbed the Craftsman overdrive standard box end wrenches and that works just fine in the newer tool roll and then I took the v series ratcheting wrench and that one would not fit into the newer current Tekton tool roll. They are just a little too wide.
The only standard wrench I tried in there was the Craftsman overdrive and that fit just fine for every size I tried. The picture below shows the old discontinued style for the stubbies and the roll below that shows the newer style of tool roll.
This is a particular interest to me because I have swapped out some tool rolls that came with wrenches that I have purchased with tool rolls that I like better.
I don't know when I pulled out some Wright Tools wrenches es and those the clothes end work just fine.. I also checked the 5/8 and that worked with both sides with 3/4 only worked with the closed end. But here are the wright tool In a Tekton tool roll.
Obviously I cannot use the small tool roll for a full size wrench because they're just too tall, but this is more a question of what type of head will fit In which tool roll.
Sometimes I had no tool roll at all and I was still able to use the Tekton.
Now if only Atlas 46 made stubby tool rolls
