That's great! I have a bunch of their punches and chisels and really like them. Glad to hear they are coming back into business. Hopefully they can get back into the stores that they used to be in.

That is great news but I think its too little too late. They have lost market share to Mayhew who was more than happy to take over the Enderes business.

I used to sell Enderes and I really love their tools. I'm still looking for one of their anvils that were discontinued a few years back. I wish them the very best of luck!!

I called earlier to see if I can still order replacement bits and it looks like they will sell the parts direct (in the past I ordered on the website)

I was a sales rep for them here in the Dallas Fort Worth area for awhile.....you have no idea how this is great news.....working with the family who ran this company THEY WERE HUGE SPENDERS with company money and they were the reason for the downfall of Enderes. What is great is nothing is going to change with this company in terms of production in the future.

I sold Enderes tools for 7 years, from '03-'10, at a TV Hardware store that served contractors and builders. In all that time, I only saw 1 defective tool come in on my order, and never had a customer bring a broken one back.

This is GREAT news for quality USA made tools !

Interesting bit from their website :

Unconditional Guarantee! (Broken or misused tools should be replaced to your customers at no charge. Hold merchandise for replacement by area representative.)

Misused, never seen that stated.

Went to a pawn shop with my pops around lunch time today... Picked this up for .50 cents. Guess it was a sign :rocker:

I would be in for a group buy. When they stopped production I searched high and low for NOS screwdrivers. There was not a lot to be found. I called then a few months back but they were still ramping up production and the website had not been updated. Good to hear they are back!

Very cool. The local True Value still has a lot of their punches in this nice "wooden board with holes in it" display kind of thing. I use them a lot at work, great stuff. Glad to see they're back.

I sent a congratulatory email and recieved this reply :

Thank you. We got control of the business and reopened the doors in November. We were able to hire all of the former Enderes manufacturing plant employees back except one. We are back up in production and to date have processed over 200,000 lbs of steel. The only thing that we don’t currently have available are the bent tip pry bars and we are waiting for a new mold to be made for them. The website is just the old website so we posted a note there but haven’t done anything else with it. If you care to place an order, you can call 800-874-7776

I would be up for an Enderes day.

I actually saw a couple NOS screwdrivers at the hardware store Saturday. If I remember they were the longer shank standard style drivers that they stopped making before they closed.

That's great! Hope they bring back the screwdrivers too.

Don't think we will see fixed-blade screwdrivers anytime soon. As I recall there was some legal issue (maybe patent infringement?) concerning the fixed-blade screwdrivers.

I tried to find my Enderes screwdrivers so I could post a picture (because we all know that without pics they don't exist) but they seem to all have disappeared. I must have sent them all up to my summer house or camp.

BAD JAKE !!!!!! Never send the good tools up north, the moose don't know how to take proper care of them !

I clicked on this thread because the name rang a bell and I couldn't place where I had seen it.

Then...

Went to a pawn shop with my pops around lunch time today... Picked this up for .50 cents. Guess it was a sign :rocker:

I believe I have that exact driver.

Thought I'd post a few pics of my small Enderes collection. I like the plastic handled 24" prybar better than the Craftsman (Mayhew?) set I bought recently.......the angle of the end of the Enderes allows for a shallower approach to whatever needs prying.

The screwdriver is one of my favorites and is tough as nails. It gets used more for prying than turning screws.

Great tools, glad to see they're back in business.:D I'm in for a group purchase, I need a few cold chisels and center punches! -David

I called in hopes of ordering some of the 2 in 1 drivers, for for now they are only making the pocket clip sized ones.

At least I can get the replacement bit I need, but want to find something else to order :D
