Here is an article that was done this winter shortly after we started back up. Many of you will be able to appreciate in the video where it shows how our tools are made. They video taped for about 1 1/2 hrs to make this 2:20 minute video. You can click on the video at the right to watch. At the end of the video, they asked what my goals for the next year was. I sarcastically said that I just hoped to still be in business in a year. That's what they reported.

That was an interesting video, but you can see the reporter's interest in just skimming the "feel good" storyline rather than doing a real "inside look". That's what's called a "fluff piece", not a real news story unfortunately.

That said, It would be nice to see more "how it's made" videos on the Promo page of the Enderes website when there is time to update it. I liked seeing the forging process, rather than the robotic stamping that you see from other manufactures. It's good to see real tools made the real way, and that's one of the things that I've liked about your tools over others. New ways may save on costs, but they don't always make a better product. That's something that your company hasn't lost sight of.

I can't wait until Enderes Day is announced. I just know that I'm going to be a baaaaaad boy. :bounce:
I'm already starting to collect the pennies off the floor of my truck. :willy_nil

Steve, that is a very nice setup at the Bostwick show! I have been to a couple of them.

I would be interested in those 2 in 1 drivers you mentioned, I had called asking about them a few months ago but I guess they were not available?

We should have our handle mold in hopefully in a couple of weeks for our bent tip pry bars aka "big freakin screwdrivers" The blades are all ready to press into the handles as soon as we have them. I will post pictures as soon as we have them

congrats! on being back!
I think you could sell a quantity of plain big handles, here. that is, a plain, name printed handle, without a shank.
i know i'd get a few

We already have one.
The 2161 is a 4-1 screwdriver with Robertson bits #0-#3
We also have single ended robertson bits in 1" 2" 4" and 6" lengths.
These bits we import but they are of excellent quality.
The screwdriver including the bits are made completely in our facility in Albert Lea, Mn.
I can guarantee that there will be an Enderes day. I just have to get it set up with the "powers that be". As soon as we work out the "particulars" we will make it happen.
If any of you would like me to send you a .pdf of our current catalog and price sheet, you can email me at [email protected].

Between hearing of the Robertson bits and being at the farm this weekend and being reminded how limited my tool set up there is on punches and chisels- I welcome the opportunity to fill my punch and chisel drawer up there like my primary box Enderes selection with and Enderes Day! Welcome back, I've missed your tools and hope my local places switch back to you.

Didn't realize that you were right here in Minnesnowta. Cool! It's always nice to see a local boy do good.

I need a good set of punches and chisels, so looking forward to the GJ super deal day!

Enderes 2-1 Screwdrivers
I have some good news..........and I have some bad news.....or maybe not.
Here are the screwdrivers that many of you have been asking about. They were discontinued several years ago by Enderes. I am not sure why. Maybe because they couldn't get handles any more due to their financial problems. Maybe because there wasn't a lot of demand for them. I did some digging and found about 50-60 of the 0927 (#1 phillips, 3/16 hex blade ) in stock at the plant.
The 0929 (#2 phillips, 1/4 hex blade) this is the only one that I could dig up.
As far as the smaller one is concerned, there is about 1/2 barrel of handles and the blade is the same as our 2-1 pocket screwdriver so it would be fairly easy to make more of them.
Most of you, however, seem to be interested in the larger one. I have probably 100 or so of steel inserts that go into the handles but none of the red handles. The blades would be the same as our #2 phillips fixed blades, just that they are double ended. Depending on how many were interested in getting some, I could drill out some of our fixed blade screwdriver handles (clear and black) and make up about 100 blades and sell what I have at our Enderes Day that we will get set up here shortly. If I think that there is enough interest though, I will order 2000 (min order) of the red handle, and make up enough inserts and blades and I will bring the item back. I am relying on you guys to let me know how much you like this item to make my decision
Steve

Enderes fixed blade screwdrivers
I promised to post pictures of our fixed blade screwdrivers so here they are. These are the new (old) clear and black handles with the old ENDERES and USA stamp. There are 13 different screwdrivers on the rack. There are actually 16 different screwdrivers available. For some reason, some of the longer screwdrivers were only available as carded. We are also adding 3 new sizes so we will have all sizes available up to a 10" length. If there are any other lengths or sizes or screwdrivers you would like to see, let me know. Your suggestions are certainly welcome
Steve

Enderes 2-1 Screwdrivers

I am relying on you guys to let me know how much you like this item to make my decision.

I like... I want both sizes. Pricing? I could see buying these and giving them as Christmas gifts to the guys at work.

Sent an E-mail to the orders E-mail address several days ago. Got an automated response but no human response. Still looking for the PDF catalog and price list.

Are there any Internet resellers selling Enderes screwdrivers NOW? Will Harry J. Epstein become a distributor? Do you accept credit cards?

I picked up 2 Enderes 6 in 1 Screwdrivers last week from the local hardware store. Even imprinted with the Store name. . .

I'm assuming they were new stock since they had a full case and we not dusty.

One for me and one for my nephews growing tool kit.

Cheers

Congrats to you, Steve_O for bringing a great American company back. Years back, the Cenex that I worked for stocked a rack of Enderes tools. Makes me happy to know that they will be available again.

Spread the word
Last Tuesday, Nov 5 was our one year anniversary of operations. In that time we have added over 1400 new customers, yet we are continually running into former Enderes customers that were not aware that we are back in business.
Because Enderes rented their offices in a southern suburb of Minneapolis, rather than at their manufacturing plant in Albert Lea, by the time I was able to gain control of the assets, all of the sales records and customers lists had been shredded. All that I have are whatever lists I was able to scrounge at the plant.
If there is a store that used to sell Enderes tools or any place that you would like to see Enderes sold, let the owners know. It will mean a lot more coming from you, their customers, than if I call them up and present the line to them.
Any help that you can give us in getting the word out will be most appreciated
Steve

Wow. Glad to hear that a company and jobs were saved. Also glad to see that another QUALITY product is being produced in the USA again. I've used Enderes punches before, and they held up great. Looking forward to seeing them locally again.

So let me get this straight Steve. You brought back to life an top shelf American made product at a time when the "in" strategy is to do nothing more then concentrate on the bottom line and screw over what was a institution that made this country great (plz excuse the run on, lol). Bud you're my hero, I have nothing but the upmost respect for you and everyone involved. All though I'm just a individual, you guys will get all my business with your product line from now on. I truly hope this becomes a huge success and teaches all those traitors a lesson.

Best of luck!!, Cam

STEVE O:

FIRST OFF THANK YOU for saving a tool company. Not many people here in the United States that would do that anymore.

Second I CANT WAIT For your full size screw driver to come out with the switchable blade.

I would personally buy a handful (depending on price) it has to be lower then the xcelite ones. But if they out preform the xcelite the price wont make a difference.

Now saying all this again. Much of your reversible blade business is going to be in aviation all the guys in every major airline have a reversible screwdriver in their pockets. There boxes are full of backups incase the handle or blade breaks.

I just saw the pics on your screwdrivers they look great. But just a bit of advice try to grind down the flat side of the screwdriver because its more handier.

here is one of my many other threads on reversible screwdrivers.
Please chim in in any way you can. If the price is right sign me up for 10 of the full size handles and blades.

thanks
Chamkila

PS i wrote this up in no time if i messed up somehow please let me know i will explain more

I always preferred the 6-n-1 screwdrivers. The 1/4" and 5/16" nutdriver feature saved my skin a few times trying to extend the life of a dying washing machine.
