I talked to my local mom and pop hardware store (operates just like Epsteins) and he knew that Enderes was back in business but not sure at what level.

I requested a 12 pack or 24 pack of 6-in-1's with the local store logo and I told him I could sell at least 6 to a dozen here.

He's looking into it today.
His only ***** was that the old unit like to rust sitting on the shelves if in high humidity so buyers were put off.

Thus why I said a dozen USA made 6 in 1's and go from there.

Hey--I care.

The store will order me off-menu items a lot so I cannot do anything but love them.

Is there a possibility of assorting the colors on the dozen 6-1s? If I have all the same colors I'm more likely to misplace one without being aware of it.

They shouldn't have any problems with the screwdrivers rusting as the tubes are zinc plated. The screwdriver bits as well as the rest of the tools are blasted and then dipped in a rust preventative solution which dries to a clear finish. In most cases, they would not have a problem with the tools rusting in the store. If they did, they could always return the tools for something that would move better for them.

I know that there were some rusting issues in the months before Enderes closed down. The main reason for this is that the rust preventative is a water soluble solution and is quite expensive so they tried to "stretch" what they had as far as they could by adding extra water which did not give adequate rust protection. We have gone back to the manufacturer's recommended dilution and have not had any complaints in the last year from any of the tools that we have shipped out. For the most part, any tools that were left over from before were re blasted and recoated as many of them were rusting back in the shipping department

Just order "MC" or multi colored
You can also just order them in the quantities and colors that you want. We will still pack them in a box for you for shipping

While I would encourage you to buy locally if you can, if there's something that you can't find, you can always call the 800 number
800-874-7776 and talk to Dawn or Al and we will take care of you. Mention that you are members of the garage journal and I will try to get something set up in the way of discounted shipping or a little extra discount set up for you guys.

Has there been any new tools added since the 4-1 Pocket Pen Screwdriver?
Not that I am aware of, but then I have only been around for a year now. There are a couple of things that we would like to do, but our focus has been to get manufacturing up and running (which we have and is running good now) and to get everything back that they had discontinued over the last few years like the bent tip pry bars and fixed blade screwdrivers

Our next step is to get sales back by getting the word out that we are back in business.

Making the tools was always going to be the easy part.

Hopefully, soon, we will be able to start adding some new items.
One thing that we are looking at doing soon as adding to the bent tip pry bars. We plan to make some up to 60" long compared to 24" now and in larger hex sizes

Steve- The long pry bars sound good. There is no such thing as too long of a bar on a farm.

Again, thanks for your efforts at bringing Enderes back to life. Hopefully this business expansion will be worthwhile on your part as well.

Thanks Steve O.

I'll pass that along when I see the store owner this weekend.
They order me USA hickory hammer handles in by the case from just over in Indiana so Enderes 6-in-1's should hopefully be no problem.

Is there a list somewhere of national or regional chains that are carrying Enderes? I'm all about supporting you guys....and I understand wanting us to buy locally, but I've NO idea where to look for your stuff!!! I'm in Orlando and I've called a few places and so far none of them even knew you were back open!

At this point I'm hoping Epstein's gets stuff from you so I can order from them!

Side note...any large chains which we might help you get a foot back in the door? On the way to a bakery I love...I stop in Sears probably once every two weeks to complain to a manager that their Craftsman stuff is no longer made in USA..and usually other guys in there chime in as well!! I'd be happy to do that....as I'm sure other members would as well!

Keep em the same, especially the steel. I wouldn't think you have the time to be messing around with potential patent/design trouble. Just get those fixed blade drivers rolling out of the factory :)

Stopped by my local mom and pop store today to check for Enderes follow-thru after my last post.

Not only did the owner order in a case of 6-in-1's, he ordered in a case of each color, meaning 5 cases.

Orange, Neon green, ultra yellow, black and blue.

All stamped with the hardware store name and number, all old skool style.
@ $6.99 USD I bought several.

LMK if you have no source as I'll buy and ship. Or if you collect them.
Just PM me.

Nice to see USA made again.

Thanks Steve_O.

Here is something I'd buy if Enderes made it. A stubby or short 1/4" spinner similar to the old Craftsman 43351. The Craftsman was 4 1/2" long, I like that size or even shorter.
