Epoxy coat drying time

Hi guys,

I bought epoxy-coat full kit to do my 2 car garage floor. I heard the drying time is like 15 mins. So I am going to mix Part A and B in batches of 2 . Does this sound correct? Now my question is, when you finish the first batch and start mixing 2nd batch , I'm not sure how long it takes to mix the batch as typically you have to stir for some minimum time etc.

In other words, if you have to put down epoxy on 2 car garage floor area how would you do it so you can not see the lines and it all looks uniform. Also for some reason if you are not able to finish the whole floor and fall little bit short, can you epoxy the remainder of the floor some other time without much issues?

You can leave the floor unfinished and come back at a later time to complete it. You just need to scuff up the overlapping edge. The floor should transition nicely with no visible overlap lines.
With each batch you have about 15 minutes to get it spread ot and the edges cut in. Once the product is spread out you have another 30 minutes or so (depending on temps) to roll it and back roll it.
Let me know if you need more detail on this.

If I understood you correctly, did you mean after the batch is mixed up, stirred etc you have 15 mins to put it on the floor and once you spread it on the floor, you have another 30 mins in case you wanted to roll over the previous spread. Is that correct?

No. You spread the material and then have 30 minutes to roll/back roll what has already been spread.

It isn't 30 minutes to then spread the next section and then roll part of that section onto sections that are already done.

Do you have expansion joints in your floor? When I did mine, I used the expansion joints as "borders" so I could do the job in sections. All the overlapping is in the joints. I couldn't scuff there, but since it's a zero-traffic area of the floor I'm not worried about it.
