I'm not too happy with Lowes' special order department, and I would order the clear through Epoxy-Coat if the price is the same as Lowes.

Did anyone find out if Lowes has a better price on a full clear kit than EC?

Thanks.

I had an issue with the 1st store I dealt with but after they cancelled my order I tried another Lowes and it was smooth sailing.

Some people just can't grasp the concept of following instructions:headscrat

Hey Larry... I might need your help buddy.

Im slightly west of you in Morris County, and special orders are a sore spot for me with my local Lowes.

Please drop me a line to share wisdom if you have a moment.

Thanks!

You can also call me at the office, I can walk "most" lowe's employees through the process.

Hi Christine,

Can you tell me which Lowes store near Zip 13148 would have your epoxy-coat?

Also, is it possible to buy just Part A and Part B and not buy buckets, brushes, mixer etc from epoxy-coat.

Does anyone know the cost to special order a full kit of clear through Lowes?

You do have to pay shipping on special orders through Lowe's. The price will vary depending on color. Most stores are selling the std colors and clear for 169.95. (shipping depends on where you are located). PM me or call me directly for more help with this.

Part A and B are the most expensive part to the kit. We can sell without tools, but it is only a 10.00 credit. I am not sure what state you are in. Call me at the office and I can walk you through a special order.

As long as you prep correctly and waiting 28-30days is a must for the concrete to fully cure or youll have the same problem. Moisture is still escaping from the floor and if you lay down the coating early it will bubble the paint up.

Does anyone have the Lowe's Item # they can share? My Lowes in Omaha NE is supposed to be carrying it but I've called and gone by the store several times with no avail.

Thanks

I live in Omaha and they have it at the store on 180th & Center. Its in a black 5 gallon bucket on the bottom shelf in the paint section.

I just picked up 3 kits of EC at the Lowes in Clarksville TN (#498). It was a very painful process in that the employees (Paint Dept, Customer Service) will not have a clue what EC is and they will tell you they do not carry it. I had verified with Christine that they had EC. Long story short....they have 6 or so kits left. Colors are Taupe and Gray only. They are located on the top storage shelf next to the restrooms. They received them last October and still have not put the product on the floor. :headscrat
Good Luck

I went by my local Lowe's in Madison, Alabama today to look for Epoxy-Coat since I was getting ready to do mine in a week or so.
I could not locate the EC, so went to the flooring section and one of the associates asked me if I needed help -
I told him I was looking for Epoxy-Coat, and he said - "it is over in the paint section - we have only had it a couple of months or so" - and he showed me where it was - he told me that they have sold some and that it was supposed to be a good product, knew everything in the kit, the colors, etc.
I was impressed. (excellent price, too)
I am going by Monday after I call EC to find out about the clear coat through Lowe's.

+1 for Lowe's on this round.

Thanks Christine! It seems that the only stores in the Indianapolis area that don't sell your product are my local stores. I'm glad that I can get what I need relatively close to home.

Can you answer why the kit I looked at while at Lowes said "high solids content" and not 100% solid epoxy. What % do they mean by high solid content?

It must not have been our epoxy. Our epoxy is 100% solids.

I am really considering this product for my new house and have a couple of questions.

- On your website there is a checker pattern installation with white and black. How was this done?

1. Each square taped off
2. All of one color poured in the alternating squares
3. Left to cure
4. Tape pulled and the remaining squares filled with the other color?

- If this is the method is there a seam between colors?
- I am assuming that if a clear is used this would fill the seam

You apply white to the entire floor, then tape off the squares for the black. Then clear over the entire floor. This is a project that can be tricky for the first time user.
