Thanks Christine,

I like the Lowe's price as I get 10% on top of the list, am in VA at the moment, anything near Richmond?

Would special order if the price was as competitive (I have a 28'x28' shop).

just do the special order...only difference is paying $25 shipping :thumbup:

the real problem with the Epoxy Coat kit is that we will never have nice weather in NJ to put the stuff down:mad: I had a 5 day weekend last week in hopes of stealing a nice day to lay the kit down...nope...this week 3 day weekend and rain and next week I have another 3 day weekend and I bet it will be nice but I have a wedding to go to in Rhode Island:dunno:

Well, the Epoxy-Coat went down yesterday. It's perfect! After all the prep (and worry) the actual job was not difficult at all. Just a lot of steps. It took two of us exactly 2 hours to do a 457 sq.ft. garage and we had a very small amount of product left over.

This morning my garage looks too nice to park cars in! I will wait three days before I put anything back and at least a full week before I park a car on it. Someone at GJ recommended parking on cardboard for a week or two, so I will probably do that.

All-in-all a very successful project with excellent results.

You bet! Went to that store today to pick up my supplies and they jumped the price by $25!!! It was $169 and now it is $194. Has anyone else seen the same? If not, I may head to another store to get my stuff. Thanks! Chad

Thanks for putting this online. I havent seen it at my local Lowes yet but havent looked or asked yet. One of your posts did list a nearby store. I will go there soon (Warner Robins, GA).

I have been researching floor coatings for weeks for my new 1680 sq ft garage/workshop and had settled on either a simple densifier/sealer or epoxy from EpoxyCoat based on lurking on this forum. Frankly, the 3 1/2 full kit (including clearcoat) price + shipping from EpoxyCoat was turning me off to the point where i had decided to call V-Seal in the morning! But i found this string tonite and will reconsider based on Lowes pricing, possibly doing without the top coat to keep the price down even then (and not have to deal with special ordering from Lowes!).

I do have one installation question. Thankfully, my builder and his concrete person were very conscious of quality and did, what looks like to me, a very good machine-polish on the garage slab. My neighbor even commented on it and asked who did the concrete work. It is fairly smooth but not to the point of being shiny. I am concerned about the acid etch (in the kit) being sufficient prep for the EpoxyCoat. Is there anything special that should be done when the slab is machine polished?

edit: I will be using a pressure washer to rinse/scour the floor during prep.

I tried to special order it today myself, sent someone else the other day and they only got the runaround.

They said today if they had a upc or part number they could then find it in their computer. Am either looking for the taupe or dark gray if that makes a difference if anyone has this info.

A week after the floor was finished, the car moved back home. The Epoxy-Coat looked so good, I had to paint the walls!

Call me, I can help them, since we are a test product only in some stores, alot of them cannot find us in the computer.

Just ordered from Lowes in Plymouth. I am not sure that means that they can just order it. I had them call Christine at Epoxy-Coat. If you go to your local Lowes you can have them do the same. She can give them the SKU codes over the phone.

I tried calling West Des Moine, Ames and Burrlington Iowa Lowes stores (all on your list) to see if they carry Epoxy Coat - they hooked me up with their paint departments and neither of them had it on their shelves. Would like to get 2 full kits from them in Beige or Taupe (Preferably Beige). Do you have a Lowes Item number / SKU I can use to contact them? The local Coralville Iowa Store isn't on your list but they said they may be able to get it if I had an Item number.

I went into my local store today and the price was now $194.00, needless to say I was not happy with myself for not getting it two weeks ago.:mad:

Spotted some Epoxy-Coat in stock at store 1112 in Charlotte. Planning on doing the garage in a month or two....need to finish my engine rebuild and get it cleaned up first.
