Epoxy floor cleaning

I have an epoxy floor in my garage with a heavy flake in it. The installer said not to use a soap to clean the floor because I would never get it all washed up because of the flakes and it would get slick when it got wet the next time. Whats the best thing to use to clean my floor? Thanks for the help!

1/2 cup of ammonia to 1 gallon hot water works well. It won't leave a film or streaks on the surface.

I too have been wondering what to mop my new floor coating with. I have to clean my new floor for the first time. :) I rented a scissor lift to do my lights and wiring, it was wet and rainy the day I brought it home and left a bunch of tracks on the new floor. :)

We have found that Simple Green also works well to clean epoxy floors. A Magic Eraser can help with stubborn marks and such.

Did you put a topcoat over the epoxy and flake? Seems like if you did you could use whatever tip clean it as long as you rinsed it. If not the ammonia and water mix should do it.
