So we went&put rustleoum epoxy kits that they sell @ Lowes it appeared to come out well @ first..wasnt a lot of gloss to it but on about the 5th day..(today) I went down there&it had peeled up in about 4 HUGE. spots .I think that it had something to do with moisture as it was warm when we applied it but the next day after it dried the temp dropd&a huge storm rolled in&the following mornings the floors were wet from moisture the only thing I can figure is that more moisture ponded up on those spots &caused it to lift&crack
Well I took peeled away as much as I could till I hit what seemed solid now feathering it out with 80 grit on my Da & I'm gonna use driveway paint I had tinted to the same color&add the paint chips over it..that way if it happens again I can do so again since they don't make a touch up kit.luckily I'm moving my shop till a bigger one I'm having built &luckily the spots that are bad are where my compressor&boxes etc will sit.Anyone had this happen before from moisture?
btw I went well beyond the normal amount of prep & it looks more like a paint then an epoxy.

Don't believe it unless you post up pictures . . . you know those digital things that SHOW what you're talking about ??

Waste of time unless you use Manage Attachments and post up pics.

what do you need to see pictures for?I didn't need anyone to look@it&tell me what they thought was wrong I simply asked if anyone has had peeling due to moisture after coating. So again seems why are pictures needed?

Photos are always helpful, and provide useful info sometimes. It's like people I see trying to sell stuff without pics, or really blurry crappy ones at that, I never bother.

Oh, and you'll get very few people offering to help you with that attitude too.

I would rather have few or none then some that offer things of no value..because I wrote that I sanded it away so all he would see was where it had been sanded&featherd.I understand if I would of been like "this is doing this I'm not sure why, what can I do?"but since I already mentioned what I did&what I belived the cause was there would seem to be no need for pictures..so I'm just wondering how me asking why not having pictures in this thread makes it worthless when all I wanted to know was has moisture ever caused any of you guys issues with epoxy?I don't see how that wase being a banker.

I have a feeling moisture had very little to do with your issue. Water based epoxies are notorious for this. Should strip everything off and recoat with a good 100% solids epoxy.

I expect it comes down to surface prep. Did you acid etch the surface prior to application? Did you do the moisture surface test first?

Tell us the steps you took and in what order to apply this coating. That will give us a better handle on any steps that might have been missed or needed more attention.

we powerwashed, then grinned the floor did the each etc..this is what I believe happended I believe since the storm rolled in&epoxy wasnt fully cured if raised up from the concrete&raised it in those few spots. Its ok however we touched it up the spots we touched up are lighter than the rest of the floor .I've got alot of paint jobs coming in so much no time to recoat I figure when we build the other shop were planning we will recoat it when everything gets took up to the new work shop as this will turn into my man cave/motorcycle & hot rod storage&slot car raceway :)

I truly have a headache trying to read the OPs posts. Seriously, don't people know to use punctuation marks? And I'm the immigrant.
