I have decided that I want to Epoxy my floor. I was thinking about doing it myself. I have done it in the past but now I have a 5 +/- year old 2 part water bone coating on the floor now. THis coating was damaged from a combination of the hurricane flood waters, hydrostatic pressure and wear from my garage becoming a construction site for 7 months as various trades and I used it as a work space for the repairs to my house.
So now the cabinets are up and the walls painted, workbench installed and tool boxes replaced. Next up, the floor.
I got a mailing yesterday and in the mailer was a coupon from Epoxy Professionals. 2 car garage $ 999 installed. 100% Epoxy choice of color. Full boadcast. I called to find that it is $ 100 dollars extra to fix all cracks and imperfections as well as grind the surface (if a coating is present) to make it accept the epoxy. A clear pollyurethane with Non-slip additive is an extra $ 300.00.
I costed out the items I needed and it came to close to a grand before the grinder was rented and the labor (me). The difference was this company was using a pollyurethane and I was buying the Polyurea Topcoat. What is the difference between the 2 and what is pollyaspartic.
Here is there website:

Seems to me to be a pretty good deal if it is a quality product and job. Does anyone have experience with this company?
Can you (Should you) do a full broadcast on a floor and then not clear coat it? I never really heard of this before.
So $1,400.00 labor and material plus sales tax and done in 1 weekend. They warranty the floor to be free of defects, peeling and hot tire lift for 5 years. The warranty does not cover staining/discoloration from tires but I dont think anyone does.
Thanks for your input.
