Received my order yesterday. Got the wright wrench set mentioned above, excellent wrenches. Pics of the mystery bag. Happy with the items received, not sure what the tool with the bolt going thru it is. It is made by wright

Looks like it's a puller of some sort. a similar tool is used to remove stuck bottom bracket fixed cups on bikes. Assemble the tool around the cup, tighten the moving piece up, and then torque on the bolt. The cups that this tool gets used on are left threaded, so the clamping and turning gets them loose.

I'm still waiting for my small order.

Order came in a few days ago. Chicken box art for the wife's coop.

Just some random bits and bobs. Arrow pointing at the mystery item - 2.75" ratcheting flare crowsfoot.

I was wondering why the miter snips were "professional" and then I noticed the bottle opener cast into the back side...

Got my order yesterday. The big expensive stuff was the 1/2 and 3/8 sk socket sets and 3 ratchets. Otherwise everything was odds and ends. The second picture is what I got for 2 mystery bags! The box art was the best which is a utility pole with animals on it. Only thing didn’t I get was the 1/2 lp 90 ratchet since that’s on backorder but in no rush to get it.

Just so I know/understand for next year, what's the deal with getting the shirt? Do I need to be in the super secret double handshake club, of which I'm now a member? Or...? :headscrat

'Cuz the 2020 one looks cool as all get out!

You usually have to spend at least $100 on SK tools to get the shirt. It was part of Jori's deal post.

My HJE box finally arrived. No idea what the late arriving item was, but it shipped Tue, arrived today. The excitement of the wait for the mystery bag is over.

Here are my box's contents, which I didn't ask for any art on, so not shown. Item on the Morse blade box is a canvas 7 chisel pouch.

IMG_20200731_145618-X2.jpg

The mystery bag(s) contents are at the top, a 1112 3/8" combo with a grind off label, a beat up 12' Irwin tape measure, with a nice clean tape inside (car console tape!), and the weird thing shown below. The full contents are listed earlier, won't repeat. Let's jump into the mystery item, I hope someone has a clue.

Here is one side: Marked with faint white paint, I think it says (A1) or AI 207 2. Stamped into the far end is 5/32. The end notch (L-R) dimension is is 5/32".

IMG_20200731_145710-X2.jpg

The opposite side has a slot, with a screw guided in the slot, and the slider, sticking out the right, can slide all the way up to the 5/32 marking on the back. There is a spring loaded thing on the slider, not sure if its a shock absorber, punch, or what not. The threaded end seems to be 5/8-28.

IMG_20200731_145717-X2.jpg

The far end of the slider, not shown, is beveled, so not a punch. Slider is not air tight, so probably not a pneumatic or hydraulic device, nor a pressure regulator.

Any clues?

Thanks HJE for supporting our craziness at GJ.

a-HA! Wellll, I missed that post, and probably wasn't going to spend $100 on SK tools anyways, so while I'm bummed I missed out on a cool shirt, I don't feel too bad. :dunno: This time, at least.

Thanks for the scuttle-****, Techie. Maybe next year :)

Jeff,

My order shipped! One item has not come in so it will be sent later.
Great news!

Jori called me, there was one Channellock item on back order, he asked if it was ok to send it later. Nice guy!

So I shipped yesterday, now the anticipation!

My order arrived Saturday. The contents of two mystery bags:
IMG_7590.jpg

An unmarked leather nail pouch, a Bonney 19/32 combination wrench, a Granco 7/64 hex screwdriver, and an old forge short 3/8 punch.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a 19/32 fastener, I don't work on pre war stuff.

Short punches of about that size are very useful for knocking knockouts out, if you're not a heathen who uses a screwdriver.

The box art this year does not seem up to par with the last couple of years.
So you mean my request for an exact duplicate of Vermeer's Music Lesson--but with a giant tomcat as the student--may not pass muster? :lol_hitti

UPS dropped off my order this afternoon. Mostly SK wrenches and some other misc tools. I think I did well with mystery bag contents. An aligning reamer, center punch, rusty Wright swivel socket, 3/8" combination wrench, and a 1/4" x 5/16" DOE wrench. Both wrenches have the name ground off, I'm guessing they are Wright.

I actually requested art and didn't get it, but I still got a nice set of wright wrenches that I needed at a good price, while throwing business at someone besides Jeff Bezos.

My Epstein’s order has arrived! I ordered the Wright 911, 11 pc Wrench set, as well as an additional 1/4” Wright wrench, the SK semi-deep 1/4 drive set, and 2 Wilde snips from the closeouts section. I also got a mystery bag, which was pretty cool (the canvas apron will come in handy), though I’m not sure what the pronged thingy is, or what the snap on socket like thing was used for originally.

My order shipped today! I got the long-awaited email and according to UPS it should be here on Friday.

Also, for anyone that does not follow Garnett-Tools on YouTube, he posted a video today showing off his Epstein's Day order. Nice plug for GJ and HJE!

The Snap-on socket like thing is a weird old spark plug socket- there's one on Alloy Artifacts (way down the page, right above the Whitorth section). I assume it's for some old military piston- engined aircraft but have no idea really.

My order came and out of 5 mystery bags, there was almost $5 of items total. There wasn't any Channellock swag either. The shirt this year feels awesome and fits great. My wife wishes she got one too.

Somewhere I read it was a airplane spark plug socket, in any case it’s cool.

The Wright grips are nice! A little shorter than snap-on, and beefier in the beam. But they feel nice in the hand and I can’t find any flaws. I’m excited to try them out, just need to find a reason... lol! I also really like the semi-deep SK 1/4 drives. I’ve never had much use for the true deep 1/4 sockets, and the short ones are always so short that knuckles get in the way. As much as I use my semi-deep 3/8 I figured I would give them a shot.

Beat me to it! Gotta Say HJE is such a stand up act! Not only did they replace the out of stock Lift branded gloves in my order with the SK ones seen in the video, but once they got word that my package was sent and delivered to an old address, Jori called me personally to tell me where it was sent. So hats off to them!

Just getting around to posting. Great art! Very pleased with the various items, that fill some skips, replace some worn out drivers, augment my punches and work belt, etc. The motor is my mystery item.

Thanks HJE!:rocker:

My order arrived yesterday. Epsteins was awesome as usual. I remembered seeing the planes in a photo of the store and asked if they had any left - and they went out of their way, sending pictures so i could see them, etc. Thanks Jori, Steve, and Matt!

In addition to the picture, I got two of the extension cords and a 2 gallon garden sprayer. There was also a smaller hammer that my daughter (8) claimed immediately for her tool box. :)

I got (some of) my order today! I noticed when I picked up the box that it was a little smaller and lighter than I expected. I received a note on my packing list that some items are still backordered from SK and Wright, and they'll send them out as soon as they get them.

Naturally, the one thing I was hoping to have soon is still backordered! Of course, that's not HJE's fault at all, just the way things go sometimes.

My order arrived this week. Peacock box art for my wife is really neat. Two extension cords for my buddy, random drill bits, a socket rail and clips, an SK DT80 for my 3/8 SK ratchet, #60-80 tiny drill bit set, Torx screwdrivers, including the T27 to complete the set, a really nice Vaughan hammer, some taping knives, some hose fittings, a security bit set, and some bit holders. My mystery bag was a T45 bit and the previously mentioned bayonet frog. All in all a great day.

My order arrived the other day. Just a few thinks to support the day, at the top are my mystery bag contents: a SK cabinet screwdriver, a Husky stubby P#2, a 3/32 punch, and a small cold chisel with the brand ground off.

I ordered the SK 12 inch long 1/4 drive 90 tooth ratchhet, the SK bottle opener, a pair of heritage electrician's shears, and some drill bits. Not pictured, a 16 oz Grace Brass Hammer and a couple of GI Joe waterproof bags.

Mine showed up Saturday! One item was missing (metric FlexZone sockets, arguably the reason for the entire order) but I have an email out to them and trust that it will get sorted out.

EDIT: missing sockets were backordered, I just didn’t get that memo.

Wilde pry bars and storage rack, Ideal pliers, SK Flexzone impact sockets, couple of pry bars and splitting mauls, feeler gauge and the stainless dental pick.

Second photo is the contents of two mystery bags so not sure I would do that again but I understood what “mystery bag” meant when I placed the order so I’ll get over it quickly.

Overall as long as the missing sockets are soon delivered I’m pretty happy. Love the shirts.

Got my order today! The box art was of a dodo doing some blacksmithing, which definitely made the lady at the Post Office do a double-take. The box-top will be gracing the wall of the shop. :)

Second pic shows my order. The only "bust" was the surplus GI waterproof clothing bag. I had hoped it would still be waterproof, but the rubber coating had given up the ghost. Oh well, only $4.80 spent. Not pictured are some small brass plaques that I'll be labeling with letter punches as gifts.

Final pic shows the mystery bag contents. The swivel socket is a Wright MU-56 AC 11/16" 3/8" drive socket, NOS, from 1943.
