Received my order from across the pond. First is picks of my order consisting mainly of a few odds and ends from the clearance section and some pliers and hammers.

I ordered five mystery bags for me, the kids and the FIL. However the kids were too excited and decided to open them and mixed them all up. Some very interesting items and well worth the $5 for each bag. The Snap On ½” drive aircraft spark plug socket was the best surprise. Thanks to the earlier posts stating what it was for, I was stumped. I noticed the USN in the part number and figured it was military. Mine was in much batter condition than the link on the HJE website. I also received two of the coveted WWII bomb connectors, some off brand wrenches, and even a proto impact swivel and other Made in USA goodies.

And most importantly the box art. I asked for anything with birds are Jori requested and got a flock of parakeets.

Thanks Jori and the HJE team. Glad to support a great company and people. I may have to step up and get some SK tools next year.

Received my order a few days ago. The majority of the order is rather boring (screwdrivers and tongue & groove pliers), but the 2 mystery bags are... mysterious.

A large wrench of some sort, and a very neat spring-actuated wrench.

That's a ratcheting flare wrench. Armstrong and others produced nearly identical versions.

That large wrench looks like an aircraft cylinder base nut wrench. Used to access the cylinder nuts attaching an aircraft cylinder to the crankcase. The one you got looks to be quite an old one. These wrenches are usually made for specific cylinders and engines. I’m a A&P mechanic so I’ve used wrenches like that.

What’s the size of the box end? And what is the size of the drive end?

Drive end is 1/2". Box end appears, by comparison to a socket, to be 3/4".

That’s a great wrench, you scored on the mystery bag with that! With 1/2” drive, 3/4” box size it seems to be a wrench for aircraft cylinders.

I assumed it was black oxide finish, maybe my eyes are deceiving me with those recent pictures, but is the wrench coated in cosmoline preservative?

Got my stuff this week. My girls loved the box art.

Great extension cords, craftsman chisels, warwood sledges, sleever bars, KD crescent wrenches. Some sk 3/4" drive stuff for what's always walking away at the shop. Nice long wilde line up bar and some metal wedges for fab work.

Two mystery bags got me one 1/2" drive socket (around 9/16" not marked) and something that looks like a plumb bob, but I'm not sure what it is? A little help identifying?

Could it be some kind of leather punch?

No- its not a leather punch. It has faint USN script on the nose. Nose is solid. Rear has a threaded ring nut, to a open seat. It has the remnants of rope/ yarn/ packing inside the nut.

Is it possible this is for one of the rope guns the navy uses for popping lines from ship to ship or ship to shore? Rope would have a end on it, and attached to the weight? Or for using with a rope to a line as a fish tape?

Of course NOW SK announces the bit ratchet. Maybe it’ll be available by next Epstein day.

My box came in while out of town for our nephew's wedding, opened up last week and just getting around to taking pictures.

Since the artist liked birds, I requested osprey or eagle, since both live in the yard. Got a great osprey with a fish in mouth. Will be hung in a place of honor in the shop.

Got a lot of good stuff, mostly drivers to fill out holes, and some spares for stocking stuffers for the kids. The long 1/4 ratchet is nice and smooth.

My mystery item was the plum bob looking thing that crane operator posted pictures of above. No one seemed to know what it is, but it looks cool.

Thanks to Jori and all the HJE folks for putting this on!

Bruce

Little word of advice, wash the shirts by themselves or with things you don't care about. I was sloppy and now have several light green shirts that used to be white!

I ordered some SK Tools not on Epstein's website that I thought would make the threshold but didn't make it. First year with no shirt. Kinda bummed. But at least I got my stuff.

We have a few extra shirts left over. Just let us know next time you place an order and we'll see if we have one in your size.

Got my order a few weeks ago, but finally made it home to open it. Really pleased with everything and great art too. The SK ratchet is smooth and has a nice feel. The short Wright flex handle/breaker is a beast not even King Kong can break, and the Channellocks are nicer than expected. Last pic is the mystery item.

Jori, did you ever add up how many orders and how much we spent? It really seemed like we had a big Epstein's Day this year!

I didn't. I remember thinking, "it's probably going to be a smaller Epstein's Day this year" and then being so overwhelmed with orders I forgot to keep track. By far the biggest ever though. We just switched our bookkeeping to Quickbooks so it'll be much easier to keep track in the future.

OK, NEW YEAR, it's time to crank up the plans for Epstein Day 2021 and start a new tread.

I just want to point out that SK tools turns 100 years old this year and they better get off of their *** and release some new products to celebrate the milestone, Covid or NO Covid. :wtf:

I'll settle for some 100 year SK Swag though
