There's a lot of green GI Joe tool kit boxes :wtf: Too bad they're empty. I didn't realize there was a demand for those. :dunno:

Looking forward to the new offerings!!!

Newcomer here, can someone give me a flyby description on what Epstein day is? I gave a lot of my older tools to a younger brother when I relocated 2 years ago and was planning on dropping some significant coin on new tools this year... I just went to this harvey epstein site.... great... now I am down some rabbit hole that I can't bring myself to leave... IT HAS ALL THE BRANDS I LOVE... Is this a group buy? An Independence Day salute to an American business?

Typically most people try to buy American made items, but anything is allowed. Epstein's will have specials as well.

Post when you receive your package!

Like a dummy that I can be sometimes, I missed this last year. Hoping to get in on the action this year--if I can wait.

So many good deals on quality American-made stuff. Hard to resist.

Watched the video the other day. Cool to watch, with my background in dock work receiving truck loads there would drive me crazy though I must admit. :) About to see what else you might of added since my last trip on the site.

That video was much more interesting than I expected. I'd imagine the back story is fascinating too, especially those big green boxes - sitting in a warehouse since war time? Crazy stuff. Thank you for sharing.

Hi everyone.

Is there a thin profile wrench set on epsteins? I’m looking for something like Martin style hydraulic wrenches.

Thanks everyone

They have Martin, Bonney, and Wright service wrenches. Sold in singles and as sets. Easiest is to simply search "service wrench" on their site, as they are on different pages.

How about an Eagle Grip deal this year... maybe a "complete set" special :)

Put our first eagle grip order in today. They were offering 7R, 7WR, 10R, 10WR, 11R and the 11SP’s (for all those familiar with the old vise grip part numbers). That being said, we’ll have to sell the 11R’s for around $50.

:eyecrazy: Ouch! I had heard that they would be pricey, but wouldn't have guessed that much. Quality looks top notch, but that seems like it might be a tough sell against (inferior) Irwin 11R at $15 for most folks.

As a Petersen Vise Grip fan and collector, I thought it would be cool to get one each of the new Eagle Grips, but not sure I will at those prices. :dunno:

I'm sure I can still find some items to add to my list though :)

when is the stuff from the "the deal" youtube videos going to be for sale? i hope this isn't a big let down like years ago when cripe said they got semi trailers full of armstrong tools and then it amounted to pretty much jack ****.

Yeah, NO. There are some deals and swag is usually offered for certain brands at price points.

However, Epstein Day is always more about supporting a small American Company and the made in the USA items they sell, than getting a Black Friday type mega percent off deal. Sorry.

I'm just planning on getting the 7WR and 10WR plus a long nose or bent long nose when those come out.

My first purchase I was planning to get the SK Flexzone Impact socket sets in metric and SAE. They seem a little gimmicky but I wanted to give them a shot. Picked them out (and other stuff I wanted) and just been waiting. I see now the price just went up on them by $20 and $35 for the sets. Not sure what the moral of the story is- guess I shouldn't have waited for Epstein Day? Should I expect to see something like those sets discounted? Hard to eat $55 just because I wanted to wait for a special day. I think I'm going to pass unless the prices come back or they end up on sale for Epstein Day.

SK has required that we list all their products at MAP pricing. We made a video about it here if you're wanting more details. The short version is that we had to raise all our prices substantially. What we're working on is to continue our Super Secret Garage Journal prices to extend to all of the SK products that we'll continue to stock so it should take us a few weeks but we'll get good prices back on there for you guys.

Thanks for coming on here and explaining - I appreciate that. Appreciate the SSGJ pricing too, I'll keep an eye out for that. Sorry to hear SK is making it hard on you guys.

Ideal is looking for a buyer to take over SK so they probably want their balance sheets/financials to look good.

Thanks so much for doing that. I really think MAP pricing is like cutting your nose off to spite your face :wtf:

OTC did it with their scan tools and I don't think it worked out that well for them. I'm always a fan of secret Garage Journal pricing

I'll be in again this year! Though not for any more extension cords. I think we're set for life.

Need to save up a little bit for this year. Not in the need for anything but will try to help out and find something that I need. Love the new paypal option!

I need a 1/2" drive torque wrench. Not sure what S&K has, but I would certainly consider the 97353 from Central Tool (I'd post a link, but I haven't posted enough yet to post links.)

What won't I consider? Snap-Off, as that's what happened to my last one, and they refused to fix / repair it (I use it to turn my motor over, and torque my wheels to 120 ft. lbs., and it's the most well cared for tool I own, so there was no reason to break).

Regardless, I'm in. Let me know when I should send you my money.

Malco (Eagle Grip) would be a really good company to support for this year's event. Considering they may want to get the word out on their product, it would work nicely for all involved.

I bought them last year. Really like them. For once in my life I was on the right side of a price increase!

I'm sure the price increase over last year for the roof replacement on my house will more than offset the win on the sockets...
