First time ordering from Epstein's but very stoked to participate. Ordered another addition to my growing collection of Facom tools :)

Ugh, there are more things I want, but the credit card is still hot to the touch. :willy_nil

Do you think we might do another Wilde Wednesday? Or perhaps a Wilde/Wright Wednesday?!?:bounce:

Since we've never done a day to support Wright, I'd be down with that. I think Jori also has good connections with them, so setting something up would probably be easy.

The question is whom to buy the products from. If Wright doesn't sell directly, we'd have to choose a distributor. Epstein's is clearly a distributor, so we could go through them. That's how we did Wilde Wednesday.

Possibly marinepride could mention Epsteins and then Jori could call and act as the retailer?

We would just need a way to have easy access for their collection of tools.

Dam! That 30% off would be real nice!

Yes, we'd be open to something like this. I'd have to talk to the Wright rep, but I'm sure we can work out something. Both Wright and Channellock follow Garagejournal, and have heard some real positive feedback from you guys, especially related to the events you put on like "Epstein's Day".

You might think some of these companies don't pay attention to phone calls or letters or emails that you write, but believe me, they do. Any positive feedback you can send their way is much appreciated.

Guys I think we need to slow down with the tool purchases. But I'm still down to buy Wright tools.

It usually takes a few months from getting the ball rolling till the actual purchase date. If we start talking about it now, we might do the actual date, idk, before Christmas?

I would think the point is to support both the manufacturer and HJE, not undercut them.

Good point, but throwing a one day event with a small cut of, say, 10% off- or even full MSRP but throw in some stickers or T shirts, could pay off in building brand loyalty and acquiring new customers. This year was my first Epstein's Day, and also my first HJE purchase ever, I spent around $330 before shipping. Most of it was Channellock, Armstrong, and my first ever Wright purchases (about $75 worth.) I think the pocket screwdriver and their support of the event was probably a worthy investment for the business it brought, and if I like their tools I'll probably buy more in the future.

Good point. We need to work on a sticker. A lot of people have asked about it. I'll put it on my "to do" list.

thanks

So there's no way to check the order status on the website right now, but we're working on a new site...someday it will be done...someday...

As you might imagine we have been flooded with over 200 Epstein's Day orders as well as the usual orders, so it is going to take us a little longer than normal to get everything packed up and shipped out. I would imagine that we will get everything together in a week or so. We will call anyone and alert them if we are out of stock of any item, or need to backorder something. It is a lot to manage but it will definitely be worth it when your package arrives. Also box art orders might take a day or two longer.

Any questions please let me know.

thanks

I forgot to order mine with box art. I sent a email right after my order requesting box art. Will that work or am I out of luck?

just wanted to share my most recent experience with HJE(3rd time buying from them and first Epstein's day purchase) .... Received a PHONE Call from Jori today , telling me they are out of the Nicholson 6 inch round ******* file( pretty sure it was that one, being that I ordered several different types), My reply was no problem add a different size file either the 8 or 10 and adjust my bill accordingly, he tells me don't worry about it!!!, Customer service is hands down the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! How many companies out there today would call a customer and tell them, sorry but they are out of stock on that item.... I don't know about anyone else, but this has never happened to me. Usually when you receive your items from other companies, you get the OOS listed on your invoice. HJE keep up the Great work, and I look forward to many more purchases in the future! Thanks Again , Mike.
