I also ordered the next day due to some other priorities, but HJE didn't exclude me whatsoever! Another happy order.

Blacksmith handle - 1.85
Extractor set #1-6 - 14.65
Axe sheath - 11.00
Razor scraper - 1.30
Norseman 13 pc drill bit set - 11.90

All very nice and made in the USA!

Hey, $1.30 for a Hyde, made-in-America razor scraper? That's cool!

A year or so ago, I bought a cheap imported one and amazingly, they screwed it up. Had to go spend a few dollars more for a real one.

Here's my order... apparently everyone bought out their supply of 3/8" aerospace ratchets, so I had to wait a little longer. I suppose I should have remembered to order first thing July 4th. Lesson learned for next year!

Nothing but good things to say about HJE and the wife even gave me grief for not asking for box art, so another order might be in order sooner than later.

Thanks again to HJE for the goodies.

My box of HJE goodness arrived today. :rocker:

I picked up :
2 - Machinists Jacks (made in India) (for $3ea - I don't know what I need them for, but just had to have them. :D)
a Marting Body Hammer (my first brand-spanking-new body hammer)
a Wilde 1" scraper
and a Wilde 1-1/2" scraper

The freebees :
a jakemac dogtag
Wilde sticker
Sharpening Puck (plenty of tools to use it on)
a cool Charlie Mylie drawing (that will get framed and hung in the shop)
and a Marshalltown t-shirt. ( I had to look them up - Masonry Tools. Nice ! My great grandfather was a stone mason, I have some of his tools. Jori, how did you know ?)

No box art, I couldn't think of anything when I put my order in. :willy_nil

Thanks to Jori, Steve, Charlie, and all the others at HJE for taking care of those GJ nutjobs each year !

Is the Wright pocket screwdriver really made in USA? Or is that just the printing?

I use that Wilde chisel holder a lot more than I thought I would. I use it most for punches when I really need to whack on something big.

I had to set dozens of leather rivets on a project last month, so after a few good finger bashes I decided I really needed a holder.

Are those Channellock 449? If so, you will love them!

They sure are! I have their younger cousin the 447 and am rather fond of it. They're my carpentry diagonals, whereas I reserve my Kleins for wire work. I've wanted a pair of American made diagonals longer than 8" and these fit the bill. I'm excited to try them out.

Other items in my Epsteins day are 6 point ratcheting box ends (only the 3/4x7/8 is 12 point), Bonney sockets, mostly 9/16" and a few other sizes common for my usage, Pratt & Read screwdrivers which I'm starting to get addicted to, Wright impact sockets in 9/16 and 3/4, a 1" Wright 8 point, and the brass tag with my last name on it, which instantly went on my work keys.

And Jori, how did you know I've wanted a drill and tap guide? That Norsman chart is exactly what I've needed.

I'm diggin' my new tools. Did anyone else wear their Channellock hat to bed? Maybe I shouldn't admit that...

Didn't get a chance to grab a photo of everything together. I will try to get a photo of some of my items and box art.

Really glad we do these group buys to show support.

Thank you HJE!

Got the last of my order Friday!! I may have went a bit overboard, but I had some ****** rid me of most of my hand tools recently and decided that since I missed last years event, I'd take the opportunity to support a small business.

Thanks again to Jori, Steve and all the rest of the HJE crew for keeping me updated and for all the freebies!!

I think you just bought about 80% of the channel lock lineup... congratulations!
Lmao! Yeah, I actually heard my debit card whimper at one point! Love me some Channellock, but I'm more excited with the Wright ratchets and wrenches. Been around tools all my life growing up in a farming and excavating family but had never heard of Wright until the word started to spread around here --- so I have you guys to thank (my debit card blames you though:lol_hitti)

Very nice choice of tools! Here's hoping it stays with you, unlike what it replaced.

I had to miss Epstein's Day because of lack of funds, but I ordered some stuff from them on the 16th with a comment that said "Sorry for missing Garage Journal's Epstein's Day." Well, my order came in that Saturday, with a hand-written note on the invoice.

SAM_0081.jpg

I had ordered some Milton fittings and a 30mm deep socket:
SAM_0082.jpg

and I guess because the socket was a Wright, they sent out this stuff anyway, even though they didn't have to.
SAM_0083.jpg

I wasn't expecting any of that at all. HJE rocks – I have another order in with them right now. (Couldn't resist that Civil Defense radiation meter.)

Got my haul today, including some tools from Bull that got to ride along. A HUGE thanks to Bull and Jori/Epstein for the extra help and service.

Got the brass tag too but it is playing hide and seek.

Americans are mailing Knipex pliers to Europe? Only on GJ!!

Sorry I'm late with mine, I was out of town.

Little metal protactor with swing arm

General brand standard thread repair file. (Alas, no metric is on the website. I did find one at amazon. Both are made in America.)

Leather sheath for large axe - I wanted to see if it fit my mini maul. It does. (Mini maul was not an Epstein's purchase. Pretty neat, though.)

Free puck, now I have two. (Bought one from HJE a year ago.)

Another Wilde 6-in-1 for a road kit.

1" Wilde pull scraper -- I've already found an "off-label" use for it: pulling windshield washer pumps up out of their holes where my fat hands don't fit.

10" Wilde tin snip - unbelieveably nice for $9!

25' American made Wilde/WITCO tape measure

Purely metric steel rule with groove for square attachment

Some wooden handles

A Nicholson hacksaw blade

Shameful Asian import: wee file set ($3.25 for the set, egads)

Two funnels (one of which is humongous but I'll find somewhere to use it eventually!), wilde punch and chisel holder, Pratt and Read metric nut driver set, misc usa made carbide burrs, Armstrong 1/4 torque wrench with metric scale, pack of 100 bahco bi-metal blades.
Plus lots of nice freebies of course :)

Nice haul. Gotta order me one of those flexi funnels some day.

Did they have to order that Armstrong torque wrench? Couldn't find it on their site. How much was it if I may ask?

Placed another order yesterday. Coworker liked his Epstein's shirt so much that he had me get another one. Of course, I found other stuff I "needed".

The Armstrong torque wrench was in the closeouts, among the "1 of a kind" group. The price was somewhere between 100 and 150 I believe. Think I might have bought the last one..

I placed my order late, but figured I'd post anyway because everybody likes pictures. :) The label on the box was very effective, I'm sure my wife doesn't suspect that I bought more tools.

As always I'm very happy with Epstein's products and service. Some highlights are the 6" double square and the 4" machinists square, I needed smaller squares for layout and calibrating power tools and these are very well built. The US made #2 phillips bits are notably nicer than the last set I picked up at a big box store. Originally I just was going to order the double square and the Milton air fittings, the rest somehow just wound up in my shopping cart.

Jori,

People here mentioned doing shirts, which you already do. What about a "HJE" welding beanie? Great exposure for you guys, and everyone always needs welding beanies.

Just a thought.
