Error code: " pressure switch stuck closed "

My air conditioner doesn't turn on. Actually by that I mean the blower doesn't turn on. The circuit board has only one error code in its memory:

Error code: " pressure switch stuck closed "

Is this likely just an indicator that something else is wrong? Or is it likely the pressure switch itself?

Bang on the pressure switch with a pair of pliers and see if it resets itself.

Tried it - no luck.

Does the pressure switch have a Rubber hose attached ? Careful inspection of the hose might find it rotted, blocked, split etcetera.....?? Since it stuck closed ( if it's a normally open switch) it more likely the switch is failed. You could disconnect it as a test. Also could be checked with hand held meter.

The code turned out to be a red herring. It was a fried relay. The code probably was stored last winter. Needed a new circuit board.
