But these are certainly a niche market item and I hope for your biddies sake if they do take off no one from the overseas market sticks it to him with a rip off product. Best of luck to him.

It's odd to that the photographer put more effort into the staging than showing the features of the cabinets. If I was going to pony up $6,000 for a couple of cabinets I'd like to see what was inside. Where are they being manufactured?

Oh yes! Guys like me almost crave a return to the era when as much work was put into the design of tool cabinets and garage equipment as it was to the vehicles themselves! That's the reason old Blackhawk sells for so much!
The big question is ... where are they made? If they are designed as well as they seem to be, are made as well as they look, and made in the U.S.A, then these things are probably going to end up on the wish list of just about every GJ subscriber! We're all realists here, and know what it costs to manufacture in the U.S.A. but that's o.k.
If, on the other hand, these things are being knocked up on the cheap in the Far East, then they are not quite what they purport to be, and you only have to read these forums to realise that this is not what enthusiasts want, or are prepared to pay for!

I am all for USA made, but sometimes it just isn't possible anymore to meet required price points domestically. Good products can come from overseas if they are designed well and there is quality control.

Yeah, these are officially launching at the Grand National Roadster Show here in a few days. I would expect to see a lot more details once they launch.
And yes, they are expensive.
I've long wanted an original Alemite work station due to pictures like this:
And I've found some in the past, but have never found one in decent usable condition that I could afford. The original cabinets go for crazy money... and the thing is, they aren't really all that usable by today's standards.
These cabinets are made just as well or even better than the originals and Thommo and the boys are making concessions to make them more usable as well.
But yeah, they aren't for everyone... That much is certain. But if you are anything like me, you would much rather drop $6k on one of these than some Snap On tower.
And yes, they are expensive.

They look fantastic.
Functionally, the rounded edges waste a lot of space inside and out, and they are going to be fragile cosmetically.
The price is above anything else I've seen. The bench is listed at over $1000, which even with premium materials and build quality seems awfully steep for something I might be hitting with a hammer.

Likely not as usable as a new Snap-On or MAC box, but prices are comparable and these are way cooler. Hope them the best in making a go of it!
I recently found an original one and bought it for my Texaco station project. Overall pretty straight, but of course will need resto which I can do myself. I paid up for it, but will have a a few grand less in it than a new one.

Those are really cool. I love the retro styling.
I've been known to drop stupid money on items I don't need, but the prices made me do a double-take. On a side note, with a premium product like that, I think people would pay more for American-made. If the cabinets are made in China, I question the value proposition at those prices.

If the specifications are correct it appears the entire structure is made out of 16ga. Between that and if the corners have form fitted shelving or some other type of support structure I wouldn't be too concerned about them being fragile.
Well if these are being shown at the roadster show, I'll be checking them out this weekend

Pricey... Nice aesthetics, but looks like they traded looks for functionality.
Should be popular with the rat rod & street rod crowd, and a real hit with those folks who think TV restoration / redo shows are good.

I'm not sure about where they're being manufactured, but knowing the guys, have every confidence that they have not skimped or 'cut corners' as such, hence the investment.
