I have 4 or 5 of the HF hoists, ranging from 880 lb rated up to 2000 lbs - only ONE of the controls has a long enough cable NOT to piss me off most of the time, so I ordered 50' of this
That should be fine, even the 2000 lb hoist only uses 16/4 cable.
I'm now looking at otions to extend WITHOUT having excess cable when I DON'T need it, but most connectors I see (need TWO males and two females per hoist, because I want the option of NOT having the extra cable getting in the way when I'm NOT using the hoist) - so the intent is to put one m/f pair right at the connection to the control, then do an "extension cord" of the 4/14 wire I bought with ANOTHER pair of identical connectors -
All the hoists are under roofs so don't need to be weatherproof, plus the heavier duty connectors I see would send the cost for 8 pairs of m/f connectors skyward - so I'm looking at 4 pin Molex connectors. Haven't picked a specific part# yet.
Anybody with other REASONABLY priced ideas (like UNDER maybe $5 per connector), I'd love to hear 'em - thanks in advance... Steve
