wow, how do you end up with more than 10 sets of used wrenches like that?

he also has other sets of exactly the same wrenches available at different prices. my god, he cornered the used market on those things . . . .

Actually he's probably a dealer and these are all the sets that have been returned.... because they're junk... I'm just kidding, sort of, but 10 sets of used wrenches is odd. Maybe he's a business owner and bought all his techs the same sets.

Im still trying to figure out how sellers wind up with over 100 packages of brand new Milwaukee and Dewalt batteries in original packaging to sell on eBay..

i assume that is either dewalt ordering wayyyy too many by accident, and auctioning off a few pallets of them, or the manufacturer of them making them "third shift", and selling them cheaply. if that were true, you assume dewalt would go after them, so i tend to assume it is the first . . . wouldn't be the first time. as an example, i notice a lot of apex tool group stuff appears in waves at the ebay resellers, i imagine it is the same thing, "opps, i meant to specify 100 of those, not 1000.". the days of them just holding on to it and waiting it out are long gone.

This seems like a pretty good deal. Probably the same as the ez red's - used 5 piece set under the Mountain brand, $62 shipped

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=262714160692

Lifetime warranty - more than 10 sets available from this seller..

Has anyone the Mountain Metric brand from eBay, and tried to warranty the tools? I am concerned when I buy this and it does not work - the auction mentioned it was not tested under load.

I was just curious if I will be denied warranty because I buy it used from eBay.

i have found most warranties are not valid if you bought it on ebay, even if it was shrink-wrapped in original packaging.

when asked where i purchased it, i reply "i dont remember", which is true, and if they give me any difficulty, i ask why their lifetime warranty isn't being honored. sometimes i need to go to a supervisor, but usually i get it dealt with.

if you are concerned, maybe buying used off ebay isn't a good idea. . . .

Thanks for the insight. The few company that I have dealt with - Sears, HF, Lowes never ask for receipt, but I never bought from this brand before so I was not sure how this company does their warranty. The auction mentioned lifetime warranty, but if I may be denied the warranty, then there is a possibility I am buying a $60 shiny door stop. The price is tempting, but buying brand new might be the safer way here.

well, sears and hf are likely warranting "house brand" stuff. dont know what you bought at lowes . . . . .

i have heard that sears is asking where you bought things now, i imagine to stop people buying broken things at flea markets or yard sales, and returning them to get a new one.

my son recently found a raftsman 1/4 tear drop ratchet in a parking lot, and gave it to me. it was horribly bashed up, with road rash and such, likely from having been driven over several times. actually still turned, after a fashion, but only in one direction. took it back, they didnt bat an eye. even let me choose one from the selection they had in the "replacement tool box".

so, clearly, not everywhere was doing that as of last august.

Correct, these company would warranty their own brand with no problem - at least the last time I did that.

Like I said I am just concerned if I buy this, and it is broken. The auction mentioned "Wrenches aren't tested under a load. They do have lifetime warranty".
