They are in fact 16 inches long. Only the 90 degree pair are 15 inches long due to the 90 degree bend.

You own the set? If so, how are they compared to other brand pliers you've used, long or short? Of course any brand of long pliers will have more flex than shorter lengths. I have numerous Sunex impact socket sets and two large metric wrench sets that have served me very well. I feel like Sunex is one of the best import tool brands. I'd like to know how the rest of their tools compare such as ratchets, screwdrivers, etc.

I don't see this particular model in the current SK Master Catalog although they appear to be readily available on eBay and at other online tool distributors. The best price I've seen is $36 at National Tool Warehouse.

I came to the same conclusion.
Just to add to the options, i mentioned these and grabbed the first google pic i came across.
Page 156 of the current catalog does show their extra long reach straight and angled long nose that have a similar "flat" design. (Guessing the same mfg.)

Kudos to SK for keeping production domestic.

I think Harry J Epstein made a mistake on this listing:

In the pic of this pair of long reach pliers you can read FRANCE right on them.

The pic is of old school FACOM long reach pliers.

Sears sold the identical 2 pc set, of course, branded CRAFTSMAN with black handles.

Oh yeah! Craftsman 45388/45389 (straight/angled). A pair of 45388 has been kicking around ebay for what seems like forever. Might have something to do with the $149.99 price tag! Here is a link to the listing: Craftsman Professional Long Nose...

Since this topic has been revived, OP - Just today I saw Irwin sells double X long reach pliers at Lowes. If I remember correctly they were around $15 each.

^ okay.. I seriously got my wires crossed there.. just went back and read the last couple pages in that "ring nose" thread and it was Silver 11 who bought the three-piece Proamerica set. I got mixed up there.

so... we're still waiting to hear from Silver 11, who works at the Toyota dealership.

I don't think my using them to pull a fuel line off a lawnmower is going to qualify as a "real" test by any stretch of the imagination.

thanks for setting it straight.

I realized I never went back to comment on that thread. I've been using them almost daily since I bought them. They work well. Definitely better quality than the other examples in the shop. Certainly not snap on or knipex quality but I've had no issues with them yet. Overall I like them. I'll update if they ever break. A few guys at my dealership have snapped their HF/sunex pliers.

About the time I bought them, I was asking our Matco guy who is kinda shady about their ring nose pliers that were something like $212 bucks. His computer listed the manufacturer of what looked like sunex rebrands as Proamerica, not sure if that's accurate but I suppose it's possible.

re: Proamerica ring-nose pliers mentioned just above by Silver11:
I know that "Tekton" supplies re-branded Wilde, but Wilde doesn't make a ring-nose pliers model like those.
It's quite possible that Proamerica might be supplying them to someone, but who that might be remains a mystery- they're a bit reticent to give out information about who they supply. I do know they supply a lot of stuff to Proto and Armstrong, but I have no idea what particular models.

Thanks for the review!
