I know I posted this in general but I figured I would put it in product review for future reference if someone is looking for a review.

Well my big box arrived today holding my 72 inch extreme box. First off, I would say the box was fully secured, had particle board shell around the box. No signs of damage at all to the box.

When we finally got the box out, we all inspected it. No signs of damages or scratches on the box. Next up was testing the drawers, man these drawers are solid and have a heavy feel to them. Honestly, the entire box is solid and very heavy. No cheap thin steel on this bad boy. Then, how could you miss the stainless steel top, it just topped the box off. It feels very thick and solid also, probably around 1 inch thick.

I then installed the handle so I could push it around, no bells and whistles on the handle, but that doesn't bother me one bit. Once I got the handle on, I started moving the box, it rolls very easy. I decided not to go with the spring loaded casters cause I don't plan on moving this box hardly ever.

All the guys in the shop where very impressed with the quality of the box, even the ones with 6-10 grand snap on boxes. Alot of them said they would much rather of purchased the extreme box instead of a snap on if it was available at the time due to the quality and price.

All in all, I couldn't be happier, I got a solid huge tool box for 1/2 the price. I would like to thank Shannon at Strictlytoolboxes for the great product and service. I orded this Sunday night and received it on Friday, not bad for free shipping. Now I just got to buy more tools to fill this tool box. :) Here are some pics I took today.

Nice picts and review. Free shipping is crazy for something like that. You didn't mention a price, but it sounds like a good value.

You should reserve a drawer for some Mountain Dew, an extreme beverage:lol_hitti

Warranty is 5 years, where it made, box is assembed overseas, global72 could answer this question better than me. All I know, overseas or made in USA, this is a pretty damn good box.

My gut is telling me who ever makes that Extreme box also makes Masterforce, Masterhand, T&L toolboxes and who knows what else. This is just a hunch. These boxes all have very similar construction. Let me guess it came with those drawer liners?

Yeah the draw liners are also similar on all those boxes. Its a great box. I look at the 54" Masterforce alot at menards when I out grow my Craftsman I think that will be the box I get or one like yours. Where did you get that box at?

Looks good ! I am surprised by the top.. is it actually solid SS ?:shocking:

Hows the alignment of the drawers ? everything nice and straight ?

I'm thinking of getting their 55" one.. how much extra were the spring casters ?

Everything lines up great on the drawers, the tool box locks very easy. I think the spring casters where a 345 dollar option on the 72.

I've seen these boxes, in the steel, nice quality. Checked out the website, see the 56 inch combo for a measely 1600 bucks. If I have enough from my tax returns(I over paid last quarter of 2008)I might get one. I like tall boxes, I hate bending over to get tools I use alot. I like them at waist level or above.

My buddy works for a mercedes dealership and a guy he works with has the other 72" extreme box. He demonstrated how sturdy it was by standing inside one of the smaller drawers which was full of his jumbo wrenches, the drawer didnt even budge.

Needless to say i was convinced and ill be ordering my box tomorrow

About a week ago I ordered an Extreme 72" box. It's NOT the same one as reviewed by Leonard at the start of this thread, but is the one currently advertised on the strictlytoolboxes home page. (Model EX7218RCBK)

First, the packaging: Shannon told me at least twice to make sure the box looked undamaged, or I should reject the shipment and send it back. Given that, I expected it to come wrapped in plastic, with maybe a bit of cardboard on the corners. Instead, it came boxed in a wood crate over cardboard, over styrofoam, over plastic. In other words, well packaged and well protected during shipment. (See photos for the layers as I unpacked.)

I've had a range of C-Man boxes over the years, more recently springing for the Griplatch "top-line" C-Man pieces. Compared to those, I can say the drawers slide at least as good, but the overall construction and weight of the steel in the Extreme box is considerably better. Loaded up, the drawers slide even smoother.

This thing is a monster, and if you've never had a 30" deep box, I'd suggest measuring carefully. It takes up quite a bit of space in the garage. But, of course, it takes quite a bit of stuff inside! I'm finally able to put into it all my cordless tools AND their cases, along with many corded ones and their cases as well, along with lots of hand tools, welding and carpentry consumables, and lots more. I'm very pleased with the overall size -- I was able to eliminate two other boxes entirely, and still have room to spare. The soft drawer liners are a nice touch, and the stainless top seems pretty tough.

As for Shannon and Strictlytoolboxes...I ordered the box on March 5, and was told I could expect delivery on the 16th or 17th. Instead itt arrived today, March 13 -- three days early. When ordering, I mentioned GJ, and was told that, because I was a GJ member, he'd throw in a pair of mechanics (GearWrench brand) gloves. (No discount over the list price of the box, but given that it's already on sale, I really didn't expect one.)

The gloves did not arrive with the box. However, the UPS man came by today and dropped off a box. In addition to the gloves, it contained four sets of locking pliers, and a flashlight. (See photo.)

Overall, a very good buying experience, and a good box for an excellent price. The seller returned phone calls within minutes, delivered SOONER than promised, and included extra freebies. I would definitely buy from Shannon again.

the only thing i can say is wow. The box is amazing. The crating was very good, and the box is just plain heavy duty. Slides work great, lock works great, casters are pretty nice, and stainless top is a nice heavy peice, and free shipping is well, enough said.

My boss loaded it onto his trailer and helped me get it into the garage and after we fully unwrapped it, the only thing he could say was, "i think i might sell my craftsman double cab, top box, side box, and locker, to get one"

Shannon is also a super cool guy, he had quoted me for a scratch and dent box, but had none when i called to order, so he kept his word on the price, but sent me a BRAND NEW box instead, unreal. There was also a problem with my card going through, he took care of it right away, and called me when it was all said and done.

Overall im extremely pleased with it, my only problem is that its already full and i still have 1/3 of my tools still homeless.

Thanks again Shannon, pics to come when i can find a a camera.

BTW-i got the 72" 17 drawer extreme duty, same as Leonard 95's box

I just found Garage Journal while searching for a tool box. I ended up ordering a 41" Extreme combo (top and bottom chest) from Strictlytoolboxes, yesterday. Can't wait to use it. I will take some pics and post a review of the 41" Extreme when it gets here, and I have put it to use.

I came across this site and hope to get some helpful information for tool purchases in the future. With everything that's been said and seen here about these toolboxes, I'm convinced. I'm going to place my order on Friday with Shannon. Thanks a lot for the solid reviews and comments. It's made my life a lot simpler!

$3000? I'm seeing $4600. 35% increase in 6 months???:wtf:

There were some new old stock boxes he was selling a while ago, I picked one up, with a nice discount from normal price, this could be the explanation.

I got my 72x30 for 3050.00 (+450.00 for upgrade casters) and free delivery. Closeout special price. Shannon and strictlytoolboxes.com are the best. He helped me with a debit card processing issue and now my box is being shipped. I will post a review of the box after receiving it. You can't beat the price or the GREAT customer service Shannon provides.

I received my box yesterday, the quality of this box is outstanding. Everyone in the shop was very impressed with Extreme Tools size and quality for the price. I would recommend this box to anyone looking for a large roll cabinet.

Hey Guys, newbie here. I've Been a Dealership Tech for over 12 years. Have seen all types of boxes, big, small, expensive and cheap. I currently have a Mac box, and I was going to upgrade to a Matco 5 series box. My total with trade in was going to be $5500. And that box was only 74x28. Then I was looking into the Craftsman Professional series line. They have a 94x30 box that cost $8000. also have a 75x30 that is around $6000. My wife works for Sears and gets 10% off, and also there is free shipping on these boxes. So I thought that was my best bet, until I started to do A search on Quailty 72+ Roller cab boxes. I cam across this extreme toos 72x30 extreme duty box. I never heard of it, and kind of tossed it aside. Then a week later I did a search on this box to look for reviews , that is when I came across this fourm and thread. I became a member just to tell you guys that I just purchased this box today from Shannon based SOLEY on your great reviews. I was wondering if you guys really know what a quailty box is, but after seeing that some of you do the same thing I do every day there was no doubt you guys are being fair and truthful. I will get my box later on this week and post my own review. I got the box for $3050, and at that price I DONT expect too much. I HOPE i am wrong!!

Just got off the phone today with Shannon. Seems like he will be able to offer the 18 drawer 72" Extreme box for a little more than $1900 delivered to your residence with lift gate. I'll be heading home to measure the garage to see if I can fit this box along with a 8 ft work bench, industrial shelves from costco, and a 4 post lift.

leonard, i am looking into buyin a tool box like yours. I currently have an older black 41'' kobalt that i got a great deal on. The drawer pulls on my box have a lever that holds the drawers closed until pushed up (like craftsman griplatch). I was wondering is there any kind of device that holds the drawers closed on the extreme boxes or is it the kind that u have to push and pull hard to open or close the drawer (detents)?
