I hear you... just trying to help your cause.

Hopefully they reconsider their price.

I hope so also. So close yet so far!

I just can see spending $1425 for the lift. Now, $1000 + $150 shipping, I would do it. Let's keep out fingers crossed.

We are at 21 interested. I bet more come aboard. At this point, price I think will be the thing that makes or breaks this.

I've been updating the threads on the other forums I posted the link on. Hopefully that can bring in a few more Interested folks.

The prices listed on page 2 are what the prices are going to be. This product is made here so he doesn't have the luxury of paying people $12.00 a week to manufacture them.

So, now that we know the lowest prices, how many of you will actually commit to buy now. I will be passing. I can appreciate his lowering prices and he sounds like a very decent guy. Unfortunately, I just can see spending almost $1500 on this if all 21 people committed. I will save up and get the $2000 MaxJaxx now. Still portable, just different uses, and can't take to track, etc.... I just wanted a cool smallish lift for home and did not want to drill holes and all that. Oh well, thanks ditymoe77 for getting all this started. Hopefully all that join the group buy are happy with their new lifts. Take care,

No deal for me either. I was looking for $1000 shipped and maybe would have considered $1000+shipping. Two reasons:

1) The value is not there, it is still only 150lbs of material. I'm now looking at buying a new floor jack and a set of 4 heavy duty/wide base jack stands that'll go to 24" or so, probably will spend $500.

2) I'd be looking at $1425 +$135 for a second set of adapters, which is just too much of a chunk of change that could go to what I really want:

39" lift (hydraulic), 6600lb capacity, clear center, 1600lb shipping weight, $2500 shipped

I'm asking questions on the group buy site, but not sure if I'm in yet. It depends on how big of a lift I feel like cramming into my garage.

Very cool lift. Only thing that scares me of is the weight. I have a steep *** driveway, and no big truck can make it up. When I moved here, I used a 20 foot Uhaul. So, I would have to have them drop at Sacramento, then get a truck big and small enough to get it home, then figure out how to unload. That is the scariest part for me. That is what I liked about the EZCarlift. Small and I could setup all myself and move stuff around.

Anyway, hope those that do get one can get enough people so they at least get some discount.

I just signed in if you have any questions and I'll try to answer it. All materials are US made and we keep info on the specs. powder coating, no clue how thick it is, but can find from the Powder Coater. they have 5 years old facility in Ventura CA and have done this for over 18 years.
Fasteners are all US made, I make sure that we are getting only those from suppliers and 5.5 or higher.
Any other questions?

watching the video it looks like it take a while to lift the car?

how long does it take to go from flat to fully lifted with a car on it?

I don't follow. What does it mean to "keep info on the specs"? Can you tell me what the ASTM rating of the steel is? Do you mind PM'ing me where you buy your steel? I'm in a totally different business than you, so I'm not a guy looking to compete (not that it isn't easy enough to find out, I guess), but I'm just curious. Unlike others on this thread, I don't have a problem with higher prices if I think I'm getting the quality.

I'm not sure if I'll go in the group buy or not, but this kind of lift might make sense for me. I like the portability. And I like what appeals to some other guys on here: the lack of a "foot print". I'd like to investigate more what's out there before I make a purchase. But for me, I just want quality. I'm paranoid about buying cheap or poorly designed anything if I'm under a car.

I have a Ford diesel p/u. Will it lift it? Is it maxed out and scary to get under ? Thanks, Bill.

Hi guys,

Somebody found a really detailed writeup on the lift and posted in on the gb thread:
http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7aq8e/continued/id25.html

If anybody's interested in joining this gb, check it out here:

I see there is 33 interested now. 6 committed. I bet all those 33 would commit if the price was down at around that $1K mark. That would be $33K sale as of right now + any extra items people buy at the same time. Would be a sweet sale if I were the seller. Unless the true cost of these things is $999. <grin>

Anyway, hope all that get in to buy them have fun with them. Nice tool for sure.

Unfortunately I had to pull my interest. With my Firebird part of the exhaust would get trapped between the subframes and the lift, and it hangs too low in the first place. I could add blocks on top of the lift, but I would be forced to drive the car up on ramps first. Just not convenient enough, although I really like the design.

If I found this lift last year (before I started looking for a house with a garage) I would have bought it and made it work when I was still living at my parents house. It would have been great to keep in the shed and drag it out only when needed (no garage). But now I have a garage and can use a 'full sized' lift.

I actually feel bad that I'm not taking advantage of the group buy and hope everyone gets a great buy on it.

The thing about group buys is that a lot of the Interested buyers want to hold out until the price gets cheaper. However, the price won't get cheaper until all of those buyers Commit too :)

If anybody's interested, you can follow the questions people are posting on the gb:

All you have to do is take a jack under the front side and lift up an inch or 2 and the lift will slide right under - I had to do this with a very low car that I used on my lift.

First my exhaust hangs down below the lift points. Then even if I stack spacers on the ez lift my exhaust is still trapped between the subframe, floor board, rocker panel, then the ez lift on the bottom. Any scissor type lift would be the same

Like I said before, I wish it would have worked out better for me.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the groupbuy now has 13 committed buyers. The current price at 13 is $1338. This deal ends 4/30/2009 so I'm pretty confident we'll hit the 21 mark and get this at the lowest price of $1275.

I am in! 22 now, just helping the cause.

I might have to load these up on the auto-x trailer and take them with me to the track. I can't do that with any other lift out there.

Okay next question can we by any of the accessory items? I am eyeing them castors, or is that a different group buy.

Oh and thank you, for the offer, this has made my day, week, month, and probably years to come, each time I use this unit.

Your missing the point of this lift. The low cost is one thing. but the portability is something you wont get with that 9k 2 post lift. Lots of guys are wanting to take this to the track with them, or for guys that know they will be moving a lot, this just makes more sense. Though its still just a little too much $$$ for me to justify. The lowest price they got was 1275.00.

This thing is pretty sweet for what it is, but even at 1275 the price is too high for what it is. The most I'd be willing to pay for this thing is 1 grand, and even then I think that's too much for what it is. If it was reasonably priced I'd jump on it all day long.

I agree...A little better pricing and I would be all over it. I move every 3-4 yrs, so I big bolted down lift isnt really a good idea.

very true, but for my needs, a 2 post would be way better for what im looking to do with it. this would be great for brakes and oil changes and so on, but not for normal shop use

BTW, the Moving Casters are now in a Group Buy also!!!

Come on guys, the deal is good once we get the numbers up.

Anybody like a group buy on different cross members? I know I would.

It doesnt matter how many more you get, it isnt getting any cheaper than $1275...thats still just too much for what it is, IMO. Sorry man. He needs to be at least $300 cheaper to get me interested.

Guess what, I would love a 2 post or 4 post myself, and would spend $5,000 on it if someone could invent a way to make my 9 foot ceiling in my garage somehow be tall enough to lift my car with one.

Most of you seem to have the luxury of having tall enough ceilings to have a two or four post. SOME of us do not. This group buy has had 10,000 views now...obviously it makes sense for a SMALL portion of us. The others of you who think its great, but its to expensive...show me a cheaper, better made alternative and we'll buy it.

This lift is also portable...can any of you take your 2 post lifts to your buddys in a 2 door car????

So, if you don't like the thing, fine, if you have 15 foot ceilings and your dream is a two post lift...fine.

If you'd rather try to sqeeze a piece of coal between your *** cheeks and press real hard to create your own diamonds instead of buying a product like this at what I think is a pretty good price now...fine.

Some of us that like the product and plan on buying one would like the rest of you to quit SH!TTING on this thread. For some of us, this is the only alternative, or it really fits our needs. Plenty of people have said its to expensive...I'm going to tell you, you're to fricken cheap to own something this nice and I'm glad you can't see spending the money. Have fun with your floor jack and ramps! How's that work for ya??

For those of you with an open mind, and looking for a viable alternative to a two post...please proceed.

Good to hear vette-kid...you must feel good being the 15th or 20th person that has called the rest of us who are buying I don't know....stupid, dumb, retarded? What word would you like to use for us???

Have fun with your car ramps...

Guys, its been said enough....if you don't have anything positive to add...move on, it isn't going to get any cheaper just because one more guy says it should be cheaper.

I just registered and have put myself on the EZ Lift buy "interested" list been considering this for a while .....I have seen lots of info on its use on smaller cars but nothing on something like a 66 Chevelle , clutch and trans maintenance /removal etcetc ...... what size spacer bar would make sense for this size a car ??

If you haven't yet, you should ask this question on the groupbuy site. The owner has been actively answering questions over there. Trans removal has been mentioned several times and it has been said to be very doable and a big help. As far as the spacer bars, I haven't a clue. I'm trying to figure out the same thing for my car.

Used mine again this weekend, and I like it more and more each time that I use it.

I also help a friend break down, move and install his 12 ton 2 post lift in his new shop, it took more than 5 minutes, fork lifts and a large truck ;)

It turns out they are different  but each one is good at what it does.
