I like flexibility with a Bipod even on a 50.
Skeletal Support is the key.

The camera tripod is a cool idea. I never thought of it. This build was for a 50 caliber. The rifle is about 30 pounds and the recoil...well that's why we shoot 50 bmg..
I can't speak for others but I am "proficient" up to my rage limitation of 300 yards. Looking to up my game and having fun along the way.Just wanted to say that it’s awesome you guys have 50 cals. What’s the farthest you guys are accurate to?
He sure is leaning into that thing! Recoil anticipation much?
Shooting a .50 is fun though...![]()

The 50 because of its mass, a 7-8 lb sliding Bolt Carrier, 2 inch travel on the Barrel and generous Muzzle Break by default absorbs a lot of the recoil. This cannot be said about Bolt Action 50's.
