I was changing the oil on one of my older Honda 4 cylinder engines where the oil filter mounts sideways (parallel to the ground). Normally, quite a bit of oil dumps down the side of the block when the filter is removed. This time nothing came out of the filter. I held the filter upside down and only saw a few drops fall into the waste oil pan. Is this what a failed anti-drain back valve looks like?

I searched this topic and saw some threads on various forums where the OP heard knocking or clattering on startup. I don't recall hearing anything like that. I also didn't notice anything out of the ordinary on my aftermarket digital oil pressure gauge. It has a short ~5 second startup animation before it displays a reading, but it was always 80 to 90 psi on cold start when I would glance at it.
I was just curious since I can't remember ever seeing this in the past 25 years.
