Actually, New England is a bit odd, weather wise. When Alaska is warm, NE is cold, and vise versa. Boston can be colder in the winter than Anchorage some days. And anyone who lives south of the mountains is a flatlander. The Berkshire "bumps" don't count. :lol:
That may be so but NE doesn't see Alaska's worst. We're not used to 40 below 'round herrr....

My place in Maine can see 40 below several times during the winter. Of course, it's only for a few hours at night not for weeks like northern Alaska.

No kidding, who wouldn't want to live in that setting.
That's the house William Pryor Letchworth lived in when he owned the land. It's now called the Glen Iris Inn. Nice place for over-night stays & very good dining.
