First time using the 2 post, lifted my fox mustang for a look underneath. Fixed a nagging muffler bracket issue, found a coolant leak, then I found an oil leak!

MagKarl: I wish I could do both! There is a township ordinance against residential garage doors taller than 8', and my subdivision prohibits car ports...

Is that the height of the door or the height to the top of the door from the average grade over the width of the garage. If you dropped the garage slightly could you go higher, sorry, just reading all these interesting build threads and learning as I go.

Its been a while but from what I recall it was purely the height of the door.

I found another house with a very unusual attached garage with what looks like a 10' high door. The house has been there a while so my guess is the rules were changed at some point.

Long term usage update:

Signage/bar:
I've made some small changes but nothing major, mostly signage/etc. Bar is fully stocked and has become well used especially since COVID. Due to health issues and COVID we find ourselves stuck at home most of the time, and the setup has been a great place to separate when needed. The sink has come in handy as my wheels fit nicely in there for cleaning.

Air lines:
I did run my Rapidair for air lines and its been great addition. Built in air has made it much less of a chore to get my car off the lift.

Lifts:
The two post lift has been invaluable for servicing purposes. Between the winter and Covid I went through all seven of my vehicles and changed differential and transfer case fluids along with brake flush/bleeding. I also installed a supercharger in my CTS Wagon.

Lift spacing:
Overall I would rate the lift placement as the best it can be. As per the pics I had to move the 4 post towards the right side of the bay. The two post also had to be slightly off-set due to my all-important TV setup for the lounge. This makes it tight on the right side of the 4 post but the cabinets are still very usable. The lift placement also makes it so you have to walk around the post when walking between the bays, but it’s a compromise I am ok with.

Workbench space:
Again, I have to live with what I designed. The corner workbench is used heavily, and when necessary I spill over onto the bar counters trying to not make a mess of them. Not sure if I will have the space if I need to do some of the rebuild stuff I am thinking about.

Those who want more of a workshop setup will find plenty of room with 2 lifts in the 38x24 setup. I'm happy with the setup and would not change anything I have done.
