I'm not much of a gear ***** so no bench made for me. But this knife gets a workout day in and day out.

I've been carrying this one for a LONG time (I've been through several of those quick draw cases) I just looked it up, it's from 1992. Until now, I never really thought about it. Can't seem to make the picture any smaller. Sorry about that.

Spydeco Endura 4, fully serrated blade. Even when dull, it still cuts almost as well as a newly sharpened knife. (I fitted new scales to mine for some modification work; it normally wears some beaten up nasty dark green scales.)

Mora Utility Knife. 6 bucks. Not big on folding knives.

I see that they make a blunt tip fixed blade knife. That makes a certain amount of sense to me so I'll keep my eye open for a deal on those.

Benchmade 913 nitrous styker. D2 drop point blade. This is a unique but also rather plain knife. The internal barrels and thumb studs even look aesthetically pleasing while maintaining a simple look. I sharpen the blade my self at a 20 degree angle using the lansky system. I find the blade can be razor sharp but at 20 degrees it doesn't seem to be very strong. Of course i use this thing at work as a mechanic and even snapped a tiny but of the tip of once. This knife is becoming very rare you can only find a few on ebay here and there but the unique thumb stud can only be found on some of the models. I think the ones missing it either have replaced blades or they where in the final run of the knife. This knife is no longer made but they did bring the knife back as the styker II, however that is not the same knife really. It's got the lesser blade quality but the better lock with the axes lock. The stryker II losses it's uniqueness though.

That's awesome. Nice leek. Kershaw is good bang for the buck. Over the last 15 years of collecting knives and sharpening as a personal business, I've come to appreciate Kershaw. I've got benchmade, spyderco, Chris reeve, ESEE, some customs, Etc and I have to say fit and finish as well as customer service has to be handed to Kershaw.

I got my mora second hand, someone turned the scandi grind into v grind with a scandi back bevel. That's the only scandi I've owned. I turned it back to a full 0 edge and holy ****! I love my opinel too, forced a cool patina on it. I like the locking closed collars over the older ones that didn't. I've got both.

...what is your favorite EDC (everyday carry) knife? Post a pic for those of us who do not want to search the internet for the one you post, and why do you like it the best?

The blunt point knife has been in my pocket every day for 11 years straight (plus 2 days), always in my pocket. It's a great knife, extremely handy and tough. A-2 tool steel, made by a good friend to a design I helped figure out.

The green handled one above is it's replacement I again helped design to suit my needs; I just picked it up from him yesterday evening. This one also has Micarta handles but is made from Carpenter Tool Steel PM-420, he says it ought to hold a nice edge for a long time. I'm really looking forward to it! He is still working on the sheath so it'll be a few more days before I switch over.

I have been carrying the Benchmade Mel Pardue tanto Mini-Griptilian for over 5 years. I bought it on sale, plus a coupon code.

It is a great knife and it complies with the knife laws in Michigan pretty well. It retains an edge very well, even though I often mistreat it.

Ah, I used to be much more into carrying knives than I am now. I have had mostly (almost exclusively) SOGs since my time in the Navy the last few years. Typically well built, inovative knives. Good utility, and my Vulcan and Flash II I'm quite good at operating (open/close) with one hand and closing on my thigh. The Vulcan San Mai/vg-10 blade stays quite sharp, and has some real girth to it. I also carried their new Flashback, which I'm less of a fan of, too hard to close. Opens fast and Damn solid, though. If you go with the Flash II in aluminum, its quite durable, if not a bit dated by now. I also have their nice Tomcat 3.0, so smooth, and very heavy blade. I need to get a clip for that one. And a bahco button-press utility knife,lol.

Paramilitary is awesome. The compression lock is nice. Look at the manix 2 as well, if you have experience with a bench made axis lock it's similar. The blade is awesome too

It is possible that someone just liked the look of the label and had it custom done on benchmades website. You can custom build your knife with blade shape, steel strength, color, design, and writing. That's a great find, YOU ****!!!

For a beater fixed blade. Sog seal pup elite. Carried it on a 7 month deployment and it held up fine.

This is the last knife I purchased and that was over two years ago. I simply stopped looking after I got it. It's a Cold Steel Recon 1 50/50 tanto blade. I've been through CRKT, Gerber, Spyderco, etc. knives and they've all been just fine but I wan't completely happy until this Cold Steel. What I like about it is the low weight and how remarkably solid it feels. There is just no play or give in this knife anywhere, in any position. Also, the blade holds its edge like nothing I've ever seen.

Edit: It's also very reasonably priced. The review states it's hard to open, and it was when I first purchased it but now it's much better after some use.

Maxpedition and ag Russell have "sebenza" like knifes. I've personally never handled them. My large carbon fiber 21 is enough for me lol.

I carry a small Hele knife, which is made in Norway. Perfect weight, perfect length, doesn't fall out of the sheath, and takes, and holds a razor edge.
