I need a larger capacity oil drain pan. I have seen some that a basically a large open pit with a gooseneck. Don’t know if that will splash much. I have one that is basically closed, has a large screw cap on the large face and when unscrewing that cap, there is a plastic screen that catches anything that falls. I like this style since it has 2 small screw caps to put the oil out. When you are done, screwing the large cap back on leaves everything clean. Is there something like this with keeps the oil interior covered with a large cap?

Thanks

I still prefer the old fashion galvanized round metal pans. After I empty it into a 5 gallon bucket, I like to lean the pan up against the house and let it drip into the bucket to get the residual oil out.

I have the cheaper version of the MX2350 sold at Advance, it's grey and the spout makes it by far my go-to. I got tired of the plastic ones folding up on me and not pouring easily, and I didn't like the completely sealed design of some of them (I'm prone to dropping drain plugs now and then), so I felt it was the best option.

I have yet to find a design flaw that I would want resolved, and for the price point it's great for average oil capacity cars (I think I've had 7 quarts in it?)

I also have 2 of these. They are garbage and will make messes FYI.

Combine any of the above with a wall mount system like this (PVC, old jugs, plastic line, etc) and its a solid system for a home garage
