Snap On's best items are the things folks here refer to as their 'hard line' tools - the stuff they make in house in their own factories!
For me that's socket wrenches and accessories first and foremost! Yes, they last well for the pro! Yes, they make a huge range! But, most importantly, they FEEL superb to use, and you don't need to be a pro to appreciate this! Yes, their torx sockets are good! All their sockets are good!
Secondly, go for their wrenches! Look up 'how it's made - wrenches' on YouTube to see why they cost what they do, then just handle a couple!
Thirdly, screwdrivers and pliers! I bought my first Snap On drivers probably 25 years back! Seemed expensive, but they are still going strong so maybe not! I personally really like their pliers too! They don't offer the range that European firms do, but they are really accurately made and solid too!
Beware though, appreciation of fine tools increases with exposure to them! For years I was happy with my British made Britool ratchet! Good tool, no reason why not! But when I pick it up now it seems crude!
