I agree 100%, only the one that I love is an 8"er.
As a side note, the JH williams equivalent looks to be exactly the same.

Yes, I have the short and medium in 1/4" bit holder and the long 1/4 male socket style. Which I can't find on the site right now but it just a long t-handle with a male 1/4" drive.

You like this one better than the standard ratcheting driver?

Yes, it gives you a little bit of leverage for torque. I own a regular shaped ratcheting screwdriver but always use the t-handled ones. To me it feels more natural with your wrist center over the center of the screw if that makes any sense.

Snap On makes great pliers. I have picked up a couple used Snappy ratchets this winter but haven't had a chance to use them yet. Something tells me that I will enjoy them too.

Hands down, my flare nut wrenches. I could live without the screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, ratchets... but not the line wrenches. Before I had them, I loosened rusty brake lines with a hacksaw and flaring tool :D

Favourite? Probably my ratchet screwdriver (SGDMRC4A). Had both the hard plastic and the SoftGrip, and much prefer the SoftGrip. Completely changed the way I worked when I first got it - got two now, just incase I lose one (which I thought I did once, so bought a replacement, only to find my "lost" one shortly after!) Would love to get the stubby one too.

But most used, probably the short radiator hose pick (SGA173BR). I'm a windscreen tech, not a general mechanic, so it doesn't see rad hoses (the closest it gets to a hose are the drain hoses under Merc scuttles). Mainly used for prising thingsl wiper nut covers, trims, switches, etc, as well as cleaning out broken glass from door channels/frames. Got two of the short ones (one worn down from scraping glass so much) and a long one - which is a the replacement for the long one I previously bought, but then left inside a door! Oops...

A177 trim removal tool. I use this thing for everything it seems. Unhooking wires and wire clips, turning hard to reach radiator drain's, use it as a mini pry bar... surprisingly versatile and surprisingly strong. Well worth the 20 bucks or whatever you can get it for.

I've only upgraded to the dual 80 ratchets recently, so I'm still adjusting. Maybe I'm nuts, but I don't see them as being as "life-changing" as many of the guys here have said. Maybe in time... If you're looking to add more, just watch Ebay and the classifieds here - there are plenty to be had and with patience you can get them for really great prices. I got a lot on Ebay way below average prices by just being patient. I checked sold listings, found the lowest price, and that's what I aimed for within a couple of bucks. I've done well.

As for my favorite so far, I'd have to say the ratchet screwdriver hands down. I bought one because so many here spoke so highly of them, and the first time I used it I understood. I liked it so much I bought a second one...

1) Fulcrum bars. (Heel bar for the red-necks)
2) Slip joint pliers. You know the ones.
3) Red hard handle 'chisels' I mean 'pry bars' I mean screwdrivers.
4) Old 3/8 ratchet I found in a bone yard.

Most of my favorites have already been stated in this thread so I'm going off on a tangent and saying the hard handle valve core screwdriver. It has serious bite where the cheap stuff falls flat.

If I could only have one snap on tool in my toolbox I would jump off of a bridge. But before doing so I would have a good snap on long handled 3/8 ratchet. Whether it be FL936 or FL80. I love both the 36's and the 80's.

Love this thing. Had one years ago in a box that got stolen, and it took a looooong time to find a new one.

Snap On's best items are the things folks here refer to as their 'hard line' tools - the stuff they make in house in their own factories!

For me that's socket wrenches and accessories first and foremost! Yes, they last well for the pro! Yes, they make a huge range! But, most importantly, they FEEL superb to use, and you don't need to be a pro to appreciate this! Yes, their torx sockets are good! All their sockets are good!

Secondly, go for their wrenches! Look up 'how it's made - wrenches' on YouTube to see why they cost what they do, then just handle a couple!

Thirdly, screwdrivers and pliers! I bought my first Snap On drivers probably 25 years back! Seemed expensive, but they are still going strong so maybe not! I personally really like their pliers too! They don't offer the range that European firms do, but they are really accurately made and solid too!

Beware though, appreciation of fine tools increases with exposure to them! For years I was happy with my British made Britool ratchet! Good tool, no reason why not! But when I pick it up now it seems crude!
