Favorite and most used is the SnapOn hard handle gap tool.

+1 ^^^^^^^It is the best but I dont think they make the metal part , it's called a ramp gauge and I've seen many others all the same.
I have the one pictured and it feels cheap kinda except for grip it cost 8.95 through snap on I think and only comes in orange.

I always just used the feeler gauge, back when you took them out, cleaned and then checked/adjusted the gap. But I haven't gapped a plug in years.

Wire gauge type for me, too. I have a couple of the other kinds but find the wire gives more flexibility in use and more confidence in the gap measurement.

The OEM spark plugs on my truck come pre-gapped for you.

Most do nowadays. With that said, most people still check them to eliminate issues before putting them in.

People in racing, for example, don't always follow manufacturer specifications. I'm sure there are many other instances too.
