My favorite is The Car Care Nut, Toyota Maintenance, Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics, Fix it Angel and Chris Fix. Former faves are South Main Auto - hate the corny enhance/unenhance ****. I like Torque Test Channel but he just talks too damn much.

Another Project Farm Fan!

I recently had the car battery on my wife’s rig go out, so I immediately punched up PF to see what he recommends before ordering a new one, lol.

This one is pretty cool too:

I don't think this guy has been mentioned. This is one of his best vids.

I'm not a huge Youtube user/viewer at all but I've been encouraged by my friends to start a channel/Instagram page.

My first (and only! thus far..) video is below... My intentions are to try and get some more stuff uploaded later in the year. Biggest hurdle will be formatting and collating the videos into something a bit more cohesive, polished, and most importantly, watchable.

A relatively new channel I really like is I Do Cars. I love his teardowns and analysis of junked engines. He's in the parts business and gets to do the fun part of tearing things apart without putting them back together.
Malice in the combustion palace!

Can't believe nobody has mentioned CP the tool addict.

Pretty strictly tools, non political, very little of his personal life, just straight to the point of his channel. Knows his stuff for the most part

Really?

I haven’t seen a video yet where he isn’t ranting about 2A stuff.

Has a hard-on for HF and thinks he’s HF public enemy #1 despite not being relevant enough to be on their radar.

I’ve also yet to see a video where he displays any knowledge.

Yeah I agree. I think one may have to watch more of his videos and socials to see this. I came across his page a while back and was interested but once I started seeing him just **** on HF all the time and 'buy' tools for his channel to show how **** they are compared to snap on etc I don't pay attention and I will probably unfollow. My favorite is when Mr Subaru posted about rebranded 1:1 copies of Icon ratchets on Amazon with sockets for cheap and CP made his own video to show this and how HF was ****... He goes on his rant about the cheap version being a copy etc etc but as he is actually starting to take it apart he finds out that they changed the amazon one... lol wouldnt you notice that prior to recording? But yeah I will stick to Den of Tools and Tony the Technician and Justin Dow for randoms to watch.

There's a few that I instantly watch anytime new content comes out:
- Bad Obsession Motorsports
- This Old Tony
- Fortnine (centered on motorcycles and associated with a Canadian online retailer. Used to be mostly gear reviews and but have gotten away from that it no more motorcycle culture type stuff. Really well produced content and pretty clever humour)

Most others will depend on the content of the video:
- Project Farm
- Fitzee Fab
- Deboss Garage
- Vice Grip Garage

I find some other channels have gotten pretty repetitive, or the host(s) have just gone off the deep end. AvE has just gotten tedious. Really coming off as a know it all and the vernacular gets old after awhile. Used to really like Might Car Mods too, but they really haven't done that must interesting stuff lately.

Just wanted to say thanks for this - it has quickly become a favorite

Some other auto related ones I've discovered since I last posted:
Jafromobile
Geoffrey Croker (aka Croker vs Rover)
Gears and Gasoline
The Skid Factory > Mighty Car Mods > Benny's Custom Works

My current new favorite is..... well I say current cause I tend to get sick of some channels after so long. Like I used to watch mainly the machinist guys for years. Now the only machining (main content) channels I still watch are This Old Tony, Keith Fenner, & Mr Pete. I don't even watch Abom anymore & I thought that would never happen.

I have many favorites, many of them already listed in this thread but my current new favorite that I look forward to watching new videos is FarmCraft101. He does a bit of everything & something about him, I really enjoy his videos.

Zeus36, thanks for the support.

+1 for Geoffrey Croker (aka Croker vs Rover), his restoration of the Elliott Progress 2G Drill Press was great.

I watch many of the other channels yall have mentioned but most of the time I just do a search for whatever I am looking for the find someone I can stand and seems to be knowledgeable and competent.

Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics, Ian's ability to diagnose is nothing short of amazing IMHO...
They call him in when everyone else has failed to find the problem.

Pine hollow is a bit beyond most average wrenchers, I already know how to work on cars , its the computer stuff that gives me problems so I watch pine hollow to learn his approach.

Ave, failed puberty, tries too hard to be funny, you either are or you ain't, he ain't.

This old Tony is.

Hydraulic press channel has been a guilty pleasure
Just rolled in, or something to that effect, is another that features shocking tales of woefully neglected, abused and the incompetently "repaired" cars presented to various auto repair shops

I like Watch Wes Work. I can identify with him and all the problems he seems to run into.
I like Eric O and will watch his videos just for fun. I find the "enhance" bits funny every time. I also like the openings.
Used to watch Vice Grips Garage, but all the schtick got old. My feeling with Pine Auto is that he's poking around aimlessly a lot of times. I used to watch Duane at Real Fixes Real Fast and though he had a lot to offer, but I understand that he had a stroke in is out of the business. Years ago, I watched Eric the Car Guy, back when he did vehicle repairs, but lost interest when he became a you tube celebrity. I used to watch BriansMobile1, but I don't think he's doing much any more. He was very informative, but got too Zen for me and I gave up when that stuff got too heavy. I will watch the "just rolled in" stuff, but I find it somewhat offensive that someone is just pulling videos and stories from Reddit and other sources and making money off them on youtube. Some of the Pakistani builder channels are interesting in short doses.

Since this thread is revived, I'll update my faves with two more:

BendinwithBendon - a heavy truck mechanic in Houston who repairs frames, suspensions, etc.

FunkFPV - a professional forklift mechanic, amateur drone racer, and tireless critic of stupid "hack" videos on social media:

I mostly watch automotive diagnostic channels, but a furniture restoration channel had my interest for a while:

Dashner Design & Restoration

No nonsense, no music, no shilling. And he's very good at what he does.

The problem with that channel, or any of the copycats, is that they're thieves, ripping off the sub-reddit r/JustRolledIntoTheShop and similar subs.

There's nothing original to their content, it's all stolen, and they're making money on the backs of those posting on Reddit.

I despise the vile no-talent goons doing that.

Channel called KT3406E

This guy doesn't post videos often, but he does show a lot of interesting things he does with heavy equipment repair.
No nonsense. No music.
