One that I haven’t seen in the list that I find interesting is Stumpy Nubs woodworking.

AvE-- list of AvE slang below:

Strap-on = Snap-on
**** Wagon = Snap-on truck
Milfuckee = Milwaukee
DeWilt = DeWalt
Homeless Despot = Home Depot
Hazard Fraught = Harbor Freight
Cryobi = Ryobi
Angry Pixies = Electricity
Schmoo = any kind of lubricant (I think)

wow, his videos make so much more sense now!

- Project Farm
- Torque Test Channel
- AvE, although not religously... I go every time I need a good laugh.

Lotsa good car mechanic channels listed already. I especially like watching EricO from the South Main Auto channel and the DD Speed Shop channel for older stuff.

I'm rebuilding a transmission now and learning a lot from the channel Wrenching with Phil

I hope Torque Test Channel does more different types of automotive tools like they're doing with air hammers now.
I love project farm, but it's like 1 in 10 videos that apply to what I work with.

TTC has done flare nut wrenches recently, and just the other day, in response to comments on that one, a test of Knipex pliers wrenches and amazon's copy of the Knipex Cobras, vs. average quality flare nut wrenches.

My Always Watch:
1. Jay Leno's Garage!!! I am very late to discovering his internet content and TV show
2. Hoovie's Garage - he's a fool, but I keep watching. As someone who is automotively monogamous, freaks like him fascinate me.
3. The Car Wizard - opinions and peeks at a variety of neat cars, but alas, no hands-on how-to or repairs
4. Rainman Ray's Repairs - nothing but car repairs, by a generalist mechanic in FL, new video 7 days/week. Entertaining and educational commentary as he does his work.

Also, here and there:
South Main Auto
Heidi & Franny's Garage - two women in CO fixing up various rear-engine Porsches and VW's, a Ferrari 308, etc. Excellent lighting and organization in the vids.
Chris Fix - he may seem "beneath" our skill level here but whenever I do peek at one of his videos, I'm really impressed at what a good overview he gives, organization, editing
FordTechMackaluco
Flying Sparks Garage (garsh, she's purdy)
Torque Test Channel

And:
David Vizard Performance. The man's a living encyclopedia of engine building. I don't think there's anybody else with this much dyno or flow bench time who also is telling people what he learns there and what works and what doesn't.

My favorite You Tube channel used to be Adam Booth, AKA, A bomb79. A close second was Vintage Machinery with Keith Rucker.
I did like Turn Write Machine for a while but.............
I have to wonder if some of these guys are losing focus on what got them to where they are. Some of the postings feel like filler.
My now favorite is Cutting Edge Engineering out of Australia.
I was subscribed to Tom Lipton's OXTOOLS for many years. I got bored with him, unsubscribed and may never go back.
An interesting and getting much better channel is TOPPER MACHINE.
There are a few
Alberta and Saskatchewan farm channels I really like. I guess I can relate some of my much younger years to these channels.

Andy Mechanic is pretty good. From down under. It's all about **** girls who for some strange reason don't mind hanging out and helping a talented mechanic fix stuff in his shop. lol

I can't believe noone has posted M539 Restorations...

He can take any old BMW sitting for 20 years and bring back to life. Newest ones he won't touch :ROFLMAO:
It helps that he's in Germany and can then take them to the autobahn for 300km/h test drives.

I especially love his old 8 series videos. His attention to detail is amazing.

Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics, Ian's ability to diagnose is nothing short of amazing IMHO...
They call him in when everyone else has failed to find the problem.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned CP the tool addict.

Pretty strictly tools, non political, very little of his personal life, just straight to the point of his channel. Knows his stuff for the most part too.

Doc's Best Tools is good too but I'm still trying to figure out the reason he makes videos other than to show what he likes.

Too many YT folks are shills. Usually I can see through it, but I've gotten "got" once or twice recently.

-TTC is pretty good. While their data are fantastic, their ranking system can muddy the water.

-Project Farm is nice, too.

-Flat Rate Master is very honest.

The old standbys have gotten un-subbed from me. AvE just wanks off nowadays. Koon's been a little disingenuous with some reviews.

I really enjoy:
South Main Auto
Abomb79
Hand Tool Rescue
TysyTube Restoration
Lock Picking Lawyer
Project Farm

Not what the used to be:
Eric the Car Guy
Tools in Action
AvE

I found a lot of the “tool review” channels seemed to become more or less the “Harbor Freight” channels over the years. This caused me to lose interest in a lot of them.

One very good channel I forgot to mention was Essential Craftsman. He's sort of a Bob Ross handyman/mentor kind of guy, and very informative.
i watched a couple of the videos. reminds me of "that" uncle who wants you to sit on his lap at christmas time . . . .

Koon's been a little disingenuous with some reviews.

Koon is a total shill. This video below (NOTE: Very **** language) by Justin Sturgill Trucking is prime proof of why that is. He calls out Koon (and Rustbelt Mechanic) for fake reviews big time. I'll never watch another of Koon's vids because after that I'll never ever trust another word out of his mouth.

After watching THAT then watch more than a couple minutes of these below and tell me Koon isn't a completely full of **** bought and paid for shill.

I avoid the "Tool Haul" videos because it's just a bunch of cheap china junk.

Also, Eric at SMA is a top-notch mechanic, but his videos are over-edited into always making him the humble hero.
Scanner Danner is one of my favorites.

I'll add another to my prior recommendations.

retropower cars

English stuff but the workmanship, procedures, filming & editing are top shelf.

"Xynudu" he is out of Australia, he pronounces it Zanadoo. He does at-home machining mainly on a mini lathe, casting & model engine making with tool stuff thrown in.
