As I was on my home from work, I happened to see the Snap-on man at one of his regularly scheduled stops. The NEW defective wrench was a No-Go for exchange. He told me to take it back to the distributor I originally bought it from. I didn't tell him I got it off ebay - I wouldn't of stood a chance then.
My lessoned learned for today:
Don't try to get a NEW tool warranted from a mobile distributor UNLESS:
1. You bought the tool from the very same distributor you're now trying to seek warranty service from.
2. You work at one of the establishments on the distributor's regularly scheduled route.
3. You're paying the distributor a steady $300 a week to keep yourself jogged in the distributor's memory.
4. You're a doctor and happened to save the life of the distributor's newly born child.
