I have several very lightly used Festool systainers that were used to store camera gear, flashlights and some collectibles. These are available as empty cases or with the dimpled foam lid for $3.00 more (I am keeping the pick & pluck foam inserts to transfer to some new Systainers).

I recently ordered the same boxes from Tanos in Anthracite, Red and Yellow to differentiate these items from my workshop tools. These Sys1 and Sys2 cases are essentially brand new.

The Systainer #1 is 4" deep and the Systainer #2 is 6" deep. See additional details at http://www.ultimategarage.com/festool/systainer.html .

Systainer #1 = $44ea ($47 with the dimpled foam insert for the lid)(8 available)

Systainer #2 = $48ea ($51 with the dimpled foam lid insert) (6 available)

Here are some photos of how they are being used....

Another advantage to these Systainers that I've found over the years is that they fit perfectly in Lista cabinet drawers (you can get 6 in a DW cabinet drawer)....the Sys1's need 5" deep drawers (150F) and the Sys2's need 7" deep drawers (200F).

Thanks Alex....too bad you're 1000+ miles away. I've got a warehouse full of stuff I need to start selectively selling off....see http://www.ultimategarage.com/personal/wh2010.html . The items need to be photographed, priced and sold before my warehouse move in April. I think the Lista cabinets, AC Hydraulic press and Middle Atlantic rack are gone but the bad weather here in the Northeast has prevented the buyer from picking this stuff up. SD

you're killin' me with those pics :D 1000 miles isn't a big deal. Having room for that stuff is. Apparently you know, since presumably you are moving to larger quarters.

Do these come with foam for the inside as well? or just the lid?

they come with a pick and pluck foam which I've already shaped to the equipment stored inside. The inside pieces can be purchase separately through Festool, Tanos or companies specializing in case interiors.

Being a bit OCD, I want to switch all of my Systainers that are not being used for tools over to a different color for easy identification.

There are plenty of case interiors available for different applications to fit the 4" and 6" deep systainers. You can get some ideas at http://www.systainer.de/default.asp?navid=100019&lid=En&oid=001
