Looking for a file set with different files, flat, half round, round, etc. Wanting to know some recommendations on some good American made files. I've seen the Nicholson files on Amazon, but noticed in the reviews people say they aren't American made anymore. Thanks for any input!

American made? I doubt new ones are being made anymore. You could snoop around for NOS though. I always go Swiss with files, nothing else can take the hard materials like Grobet, etc.

Go to Lowes/home depot and look at their files. I have seen some labelled mexico and the occasional one labelled USA. I have bought some American made Nicholsons from lowes.

Bahco files are also good. I think they're made in Portugal.
I've heard the new outsourced Nicholsons are ****.
