I KNOW I saw a thread about a week ago with a guy that bought one, put a power outlet in it, a shelf on the side, etc.. I cannot for the life of me find that thread again.
I did a search and found the HF Cart Mod thread, and Tool Cart thread, and I did come across the new hinges and Snap-On key lock swap.
For anybody that has done that, is the lock a direct swap or does it take some work? Would be nice to get it keyed like my toolbox.
Ive been putting off getting the cart for 5 years now and got the 99.00 coupon the other day and decided it was time. Now I can throw away my (free) 2 shelf cart.
Id like to put a power outlet in it because of all the battery tools I have, but I want one that mounts up flush like the other user has. I went to HD and Lowes and neither have an outlet like that.
Some of the stuff you guys did with those carts is impressive, I must say.
